I thought it had to go to either Pendles or Jolly, they had the most influence on the game of any 2 players, no matter what the stats say.

Jolly just controlled the centre clearances, he was outstanding, and Pendles, well to the Geelong troll who said he would miss, SUCK ON THAT.:D

Scott Pendelbury is a Norm Smith Medalist, the greatest individual medal an AFL player can have.

Gratz Scott.:thumbsu:

I'd like to see Steele Sidebottom win it but I think Pendlebury would be a deserving winner as well. Nathan Brown definitely needs to be commended for his job on Riewoldt as well though.

Had $10 on Steele, close but no cigar. The kid is a legend.
Well done Pendes!

Can't argue with Pendlebury but I really didn't think there was a stand out player today which is a good thing because everyone shared the load. I thought it came down to Jolly, Pendlebury, Sidebottom, Ball, Shaw, Wellingham and Thomas. They would've all been deserving winners.

Had $5 on him for a reasonable collect - bugger

however i hadn't heard of the scott endleperry bloke who won it....:D

Hehe, I had a little bit on Jolly at 50's:(, but at least I also had Pendles at 12's which offset the pain of Jolly missing out.

And yes, could anyone who presents a medal from now on actually learn how to pronounce the players name, it's becoming too regular, just ask Craig Johnson. (Otherwise known as Ben Johnson).:o

Watched the game with the a mate of mine who follows the aints and at half time we both agreed that Pendles, Thomas and Rusty were all in contention for the medal and bet according to the odds :thumbsu:

micky tuck is still the winner awarding the 'norm smith' medal in the preseason comp - completely forgetting it was named after him

STEELE WAS ROBBED!

Was one of the best matches I've seen from a teenager on the big stage, he is going to be a STAR!!

Anyway well done Pendles, 22 years old, Norm Smith, AA and now an elite player in the comp!

Can't stand Thomas, but he was definitely BOG, Pendles maybe top 3. Thought Jolly could have been a surprise winner. Played a massive game. But Thomas over the 4 qtrs plus adding his equally impressive game last week should have won.

Will forever be Pansy Thomas to me though :D

I would have preferred only one medal given out for the year. The clear winner would be Daisy Thomas, probably with Goddard second. Hayes was best on ground for the first week but couldn't repeat his heroics.

The replay had a host of players who could have got votes - Pendles, Steele, Wellers, Maxy, Jolly, Ball, N Brown, Heater all worthy. Although Daisy was probably not a clear best on ground he deserves the medal for a combined 8 Quarter effort.
