In my opinion Tim Notting from the Lions should be a option they must be looking at. Surely this guy would be some hope of leaving. Please.

Not a ruckman as much but can be a third/fourth ruckman if needed. Can play anywhere and has a great size about him.

Just like your thoughts on Notting.

How old is he? Don't want anyone that doesn't have their best football in fornt of them and good for at least 5 years.
I like him but unless it's for the money (and we ain't got it) why would you leave a side that's making history.

I'm not sold on him, I have reservations as to whether he will help our side a lot, or whether he is a player who plays well along side other great players ie will he be like Headland and not be as good out of the Lions lineup?

Tim Notting isn't a ruckman? He is a tallish midfielder - one of the Lions good ordinary players. He may be someone worth pursuing but not at any significant cost.

Tim Notting is 26 and at his peak. He did nothing before 23 so is probably going to be one of those guys that is able to play AFL in his peak years (23-28) but not up to the standard outside that windown.

By the time opposition teams have planned for Black, Lappin, Power, Voss, Akermanis ... Notting gets a free ride.

Handy player but not someone to break the bank for, particularly because we would have him for 2-3 years when we are going to be rubbish anyway. Better off targeting someone 21-22 who will be able to be a key 26-27 year old player in 5 years when we will need him.

Jared Brennan,Dylan Mclaren & Brisbane's 1st pick as a straight swap.

I know these deals always seem to involve at least 3 clubs,just passing this on as I quite like it.

the Lions website has him listed at 192cm and 87kg.

Yer , he is right up there . One of the best i can remember was Barry Young when he left Essendon and went to Hawthorn , he was an absolute joke . History is littered with these types of players
