Heres some names I'd
expect to be in (future) rep teams
if there was to be one.

Peter Shepherd (palmerston)
Ed Darcy (palmerston)
Simon Munkara (Darwin)
Jarrod Brennan(Crocs)
Dallas Cook(palmerston)
A.Reti (Palmerston)
Daniel Hill (StMarys)
Jonno Mullins (S.D might be one to watch for in 2-3 years)

also why Braun Bush isn't playing in a state
league is beyond me.

good.

Aaron played in Port reserves most of last year...kicking 43 goals in 18 games and getting 3rd reserves BnF and leading Goalkicker. Alwyn Davey played Under 19s for Port last year

He was linked to the Bulldogs a year or so ago and trained with them for a short while as far as I know. I thought he might have been a draft smokey.

Wanderers were good side till a few years ago
but ran down their junior base and are now paying
for it (Collecting the last 4 wooden spoons).

Mark Motlops a good coach (first season with Wanderers)
but might be the wrong coach in this situation
maybe bit too softly softly (bit of brimstone needed?)- time
will tell......

Bit of background: Mark Motlop led S.Districts to their first
premiership 3 years or so ago.

The ABC is unlikely to broadcast NT football again next
year.

the ABC wanted to broadcast a live game at 2.30 on a
Sa****ay.

The AFLNT wanted them to show a replay of an Sa****ay
evening game on Sunday morning.

So it looks like they'll show Rugby Union (at 2.30 on sa****ay) instead.

Darwin threw everything into the first two quarters
but couldn't establish a lead.
Buffaloes game fell apart (thur not maning up)
in third. Palmerston established a 5 goal
lead at one stage. Palmerston forward line
seemed more mobile than previous games.
Darwin fought back into the game through the
4th quarter, getting to within 4 points before some
strange umpiring combined with Palmerston's
resolve, to give victory to the Magpies.
Haven't heard this T.Thamm before.

I can see your very interested by the way you replied. Hitter eh? :D

BTW Killer, did you read in todays NT News, where Russel Jeffrey criticised the Wanderers players of not producing anything for their coach?

He says that they are making their club ashamed, but I'd go as far to say they're making the league look scrappy.

Also did you read about how some of the Aussie Rules clubs, may be joining in the "dry season" Rugby League comp, after the DRL dissolved. I can't remember which club it is, but it would be a good idea anyway, as most players play anohter sport in the off season.

<-- Mobbenfuhrer :D

I was just letting killer know that just because I'm not replying and analysing the posts, doesn't mean I'm not reading them. I am VERY interested, as killer would know!

But, it may have sounded tongue in cheek, I suppose. Well, it wasn't :P

I thought you were still in France?

He should talk
Russell Jeffery walked out on the club (Wanderers)
more times than anyone can remember.

The DRL are trying to replace Brothers (the most successful side in DRL history) with a Wanderers/Bagot team (for the aboriginal following I suppose). Rugby leagues dead in the water up here anyway.

Did you see the mistake in Sundays paper?
The NT News had Ephrim Tipungwuti kicking 2 goals for
Darwin in one report ,while, also playing a staring role for
Bathurst Island (v Melville) on the same day.
That papers gone nuts.

Nah I've been back for a couple of weeks.

I agree the standard of the NT News is pathetic.

And the DRL, that speaks for itself...

With five rounds to go we've got
four teams in the middle fighting
for 3 spots in the finals.
Darwin have the bye this week
