Extremely dissapointed in MJ and the new strength an conditioning team.
He looks even skinnier than i remember him being.
Franklin was the same size an shape as johnson when he first started now hes built like a tank an still quick an agile.
Johnson hasnt changed abit since day 1.
If he could get stronger in the upperbody he could dominate CHB

Could just be my big new widescreen tv making him look thinner/less muscle will find out for sure when i go to the footy

Fremantle's Michael Johnson could be facing the rest of the season on the sidelines with a serious ankle injury as the Dockers lick their wounds from yesterday's loss to Carlton.
It would appear they may not get any more help from Johnson, whose effort to play through the pain of an ankle injury against Richmond three weeks ago looks to have cost him any chance of playing again this year.

"Michael Johnson had a number of problems with his ankle - this week one or another we will see what we are going to do with Michael," Harvey said.

"We are probably going to assess his injury and where he is at this year. We are going to have to have a look at the extent of the injury.

Another one bites the dust then..... Cheers Wizard btw!

Fremantle website is quoting Chris Bond as saying MJ out for 4-6 weeks following surgery. Raises further questions about our medical staff in my opinion.:(

Really? I would of thought the Medical staff would think, the year is over, may as well go in and get his ankle right for next year.

I'd be happy with him having a solid/full pre-season ready for 2010, rather than lets rush him back for the last couple of games.

As his 2009 buddy I probably should write a season wrap but there isn't much to report. Obviously he missed nearly a third of the year toward the end. I was pretty encouraged by his form before the injury. Has played his best footy as a sweeper across half back, reading the play and sending it back the other way with long low passes but added a couple of new strings to the bow this year revealing a talent as backup ruck and also looks to have the makings of a pretty decent CHF. 2008 saw him play some pretty average games where he fell into a spell of poor decision making particularly by hand.
I'd like to see him start next year forward / ruck with the ability to swing back if needed. Will certainly be part of our best 22 for many years going forward if he can stay healthy and continue developing.
Love you MJ, sorry not as much as I love Hilly but you are right up there :)

Thought i might get my Buddys' name off the bottom of the barrel. Not much here for a couple of years.

I cant make training so I'm looking to getting some info from the training thread.

As of today he seems to be doing what he does best on this site at least. IE creating the great divide between those who see him as waste of space and those (like me) who see a good footballer that needs a little bit more application.

Good to see the training reports are positive and if he can carry that into the season it can be a real positive for FFC not to mention himself.

So MJ all the best this year and dont let your Buddy down.

What a season this man is having just quietly. Back to his best form circa 2006.

- 2nd at the club for disposals
- 1st at the club for marks (2nd in the comp)
- 1st at the club for TOG (3rd in the comp)
- 1st at the club for defensive rebounds (7th in the comp)
- 2nd at the club for 1 % plays (2nd to Dawson who leads the comp)

He got two more years this week.
For all the flak he gets our Club must like him.

This year so far he seems to be getting back some old habits that got him roasted here.
He's still better than 2011 but hasn't improved on last year so far.

Well good luck again, MJ, hope you push hard to get another couple of years. :thumbsu:
