As unimpressed as I've been by Berry's early career form, I still think he will become an above average - if not very good - AFL player, and want to see that realised with us. Wingard's first year in 2012 was pretty unremarkable from memory - better than what Berry has produced, but not predictive of him winning AA honours in 2013. Curtin - I know completely dfferent player - was average at best until 6-8 weeks ago, and now he looks as dangerous as any young player in the comp and a second unicorn for the Crows alongside Thilthorpe. Point is, that Berry was recruited to fill a desperate need for us. Unless we directly replace him with someone better to play the same forward-of-centre role, we should hold onto him and see what he delivers next year.
