If we have a think without overcomplicating things, i cant imagine someone would go to the crows and go against their best friends. Its human nature for him to pick port, surely.

Saints or trade (port only)

Provide a logical response and engage in debate then instead of just labelling everyone an idiot. Do you have a brain injury?
If you're holding onto hope because Ken's going next year and Carrs taking over and perhaps Marshall returning you're a fool lol.
There are so many holes in this list it's not funny and that's not getting into how average our fitness department is.
There's no doubt that with Carr and the right people around him (which currently we don't have )we are better off "long term" then under Ken but until there's culture changes from the top I don't see us going anywhere soon.
History shows teams that win close games in volume during the season play finals, it's not a marker of luck.

Probably not much else can be said
Exactly.

Wouldn’t it be something if he held off from signing and then announced his wish to join only us at the start of trade week, JHF-like.

Would be tough negotiating but so long as we kept enough draft capital to get Cochrane and Pilot in their respective drafts and don’t lose any of Rozee/Butters/JHF/Bergman/Georgiades/Visentini/Whitlock, it would be worth it.

Port didn’t even get to speak with Collingwood everything went through Connors. Over to you Ben Williams and Jade Robran, go earn your pay packet.

Interesting comments for Jase to make today, that is if he didn’t think Nas was coming here next year.
Wow. Jase didn’t shirk the NWM questions. Answered them well mind you but didn’t try to roll out any “no comment” responses. Jase has always spoken extremely maturely. Love to hear that he has high standards of himself. He’s right that we haven’t seen his best this year.

On another note, NWM has passed JHF this year to be the second or third best player from that remarkable draft (behind Daicos and possibly just behind Darcy). I’m sure JHF will surge back up. Injury has held him back the last 6 weeks but more telling for me was that he wasn’t able to reach his excellent best in the few weeks that Butters was missing at the start of the season. He’s still got some way to go to be consistently exceptional, and a top 5 player in the comp.

He won’t do that.

JHF was under contract and an enormous amount of pressure and he was probably thinking he had to stay but then at the last possible opportunity to get out commonsense took over.

NWM pats everyone on the back when his contract expires and wishes them the best then moves on.

“It was the blurst of times”

Going to have to wait another month before we hear anything substantial from the mainstream media (if no nwm extension) about him leaving.

Still way to long in the season to go for it to out in the open, the only way we will know if c4 or chewy says something in the next month

It's not so much writing off Berry. More just acknowledging that you have to give something.
The club has done a pretty good job not trading away it's young talent to bring in players historically e.g JHF

Will be interesting to see how this plays out if NVM does indicate he wants a trade.

Could you live with visenti being traded out in order to obtain the necessary draft capital to get NWM.
Farrell too.

I like Vis but if that's what it takes, Farrell yeah

Visentini’s tricky because I do value the importance of having a good ruckman and right now, Sweet isn't anything more than a nullifier. Soldo, credit to him, is working hard to get back in the side but I doubt anyone expects him to be part of our longterm makeup.

That leaves Visentini, who does have the potential to be a top-5 ruckman in the comp. Vis should be looking at how Darcy Cameron has developed his career and setting himself to be at least that good.

If we trade him away, we basically start from scratch again in the ruck, treading water with Sweet who hasn’t been up to it in a lot of matches this season.
