I’m of the opinion that Tex has “done his time” and I think his answer in the video was okay. It was pretty on the nose for Maguire to ask a question from the POV of Tex’s redemption arc from his struggles.

Theres a guy on the main board who has been claiming consistently for weeks, that NWM will stay at the Saints and it will be announced tomorrow. Of course he is a Saints man, but seems confident.

The JHF one was a done deal as soon as it was announced. Framework of the trade had been agreed upon by Cripps and Rawlings prior to Cal Twomey breaking the news that JHF was requesting a trade to Port. It was only after the backlash that North got from its supporters that Rawlings came back to Port and delayed the deal to get a bigger return elsewhere, by tying in multiple other deals together (that so called "mega trade" involving half a dozen clubs which also helped Port get Rioli).

There was no doubt about that deal actually getting done though.

The NWM stuff is no where near that point yet.

I'm referring to earlier that year (e.g mid year) when ITK poster was saying JHF had indicated to mates that his preference was port and that he would likely end up there at some point. Can't remember who it was so can't give credit.
