Fair play to say that you think your team got shafted or the negotiating team had unrealistic expectations once the deal is done. I truly don't get how we are hard to deal with, we got smashed on the Houston trade.

And Gold Coast who always get destroyed in trades, got the best deal in their history when we gave them a top 10 pick for Lukosius (who was dropped to the VFL for them), and we took VFL player Rory Atkins' 500k contract off their hands.

We waste people’s time - we bluff and bluster for two weeks before taking what was originally on the table.

Thats before even factoring in one is a half back flanker who has played like 10% of his season in the midfield, the other is a top 3, at worst top 5 player in the competition, who could likely finish top 5 in the Brownlow missing 3+ games again this year , as well as potentially winning the coaches association best player award again.

When has a club ever profited from a wanted player requesting a trade, or a club in order to get someone in has had to give up their best player of the last decade and current top 3 or 4 player in the comp to get the deal done. A Nas for Butters deal is exactly that. That is simply not how it works, never has and never will.

I keep getting sucked into clicking on the thread because it is the most active, but keep wasting time in here. Nothing's changed in ages. We still will struggle to get a deal done and still no one is wiser as to where he will go. This thread will likely garner another 200 pages and we wont know what it all looks like till the last hour of trade period.
