You should tell that to the incredibly angry and dissapointed eagles fans who were getting all abusive after the last Derby.

Looked like they cared quite a bit

Just another game my Ass. You lot HATE loosing to us so cut the crap

Our lot hate losing to any team. How do you know they don't get as abusive as losing to Carlton by 1 point in 1995 when Earl Spalding collided with Guy McKenna or when Paul Salmon kicked a goal with 60 seconds left in 1993 to give Essendon a 2 point victory against us at the MCG.

West Coast are probably Freo's biggest rivals, but Fremantle are definately not West Coasts biggest rivals.

I agree. I don't know why Eagle fans are saying this is just another game for them. I mean, c'mon. You guys wanna win tomorrow just as much as we do.

Too bloody right Kenny.

However in the larger scheme of things I personally get more satisfaction when we beat Essendon than anyone else. In fact I've even booked an airfare today to go over and watch us play the Bombers in Melbourne this year.

The Derby rivalry is building, but it'll take many more years before it gets to the level of the Adelaide showdown. We just don't hate each other enough (Dockerland aside).

Until Freo knocks us out of the finals, they will never compare to beating Essendon or Nth. Obviously the rivalry is bigger than against most other clubs, but its definately not our biggest.

So if you could pick one game to win, would you rather win tomorrow and lose to the Kangaroos in Rd 13, or would you rather lose tomorrow and beat the Kangas in rd 13?

Its not a question I or anyone could answer. You don't want to see your team lose full stop.

Its like when people were asking us in 2001 if we'd prefer to stay under 6 wins and get that concession pick, or win our remaining 3-4 games and finish higher up on the ladder? How do you answer that?

I'd rather the concession pick. Wouldn't you rather another Chris Judd if you weren't gonna make the finals? If you're gonna suck, might as well make the best of it :)

Hey Kenny,

If Freo was to win the spoon (again) with only two points in the season. Who would you most like to draw with? :D

Definitely WC :D

But yeah, I'd hate to go through another season like that. Having thought about it again, I'd rather win the 7 or 8 games and get a lowish pick rather than win less than 4 games and end up with a priority pick and another very high pick.

Agree. IMO Essendon would probably be our biggest rivals. There haven't been enough close games in Derbies to get interested in.
