I still remember to this day the disgusting prick who said somethign to me at the gym, that you wouldnt even find acceptable in a nightclub let alone the gym in the middle of the day.

Srsly wanted to punch the guy, but my feet took over instead and got me out of there.
Shell, in the 70s + 80s sexual harassment at work happened all the time. I went to the HR manager to complain about my boss who kept touching my breasts + SHE told me I must be encouraging him! The next three times he did it I told him to stop + that I'd kick him in the balls if he continued to do it. The fourth time I did kick him in the balls + he didn't touch me again.

Lots + lots of other times where sexual harassment took place, all in the office. When I worked on construction sites, not one! Every guy was so respectful + polite.

Yep. I got a feeling most rapists would strike again if never caught whereas people who sexually harass in the workplace get caught and they'll shit themselves and most likely will never try that crap again. Can't pair them both together. Ones undeniably creepy, the other is creepy and unforgivable.
I agree that rapists would strike again if not caught, but further, often strike again upon release from prison. Look at that guy who r*ped + killed Gill Meagher, was out on bail for sexual assault.

Not everyone who sexually harasses at work is caught. But the thing is that sexual harassment only became illegal in 1984. The business can also be liable if they do not provide training, procedures + policies, but these can only limit their liability.

Both are unacceptable, harassment might be easier to avoid or to prevent, but rape is virtually impossible to stop.

Click those two words in my post
But still don't know what is meant by Lady Parma - only know the limerick

There was a Young Lady of Parma,
Whose conduct grew calmer and calmer;
When they said, 'Are you dumb?'
She merely said, 'Hum!'
That provoking Young Lady of Parma.

Does it have something to do with a Chicken Parmigiana?

And almost done another lazy 100 posts today.

Going by this rate should be 1000 a week. So 45k in a month and ill be on that notable members bullshit list.
Well I'm only at 20,864 since January 2011, which means you have posted 21,357 more posts than me, since July 2005.

So that's
Shell: 3,518 per year
Me: 3,477 per year - but at least I post about footy :p

I could probably try to give Shell a run for her money ;)

Pretty annoying but I wouldn't say I 'hated' her or anything.

The thread about the moon landing with her home schooled son that thought it was faked was gold.
Was it faked? Plenty of people who thought it was lol

She would have been a hoot! Those who think it was faked take it so seriously lol They're so invested in it lol

Hey Kram - please tag me in some of the main board threads?

I liked Clay Davis and his 10+ other names. Finest work was when an infamous West Coast main board mod thought he was being funny posting the empty trophy cabinet for the 1,000,000 time and CD asked if that was what they buried Mainwaring in.
Oh no! *laughing on the inside*

Was he suspended or banned for that?

Yeah i can totally understand that- ie. it was so different back then. Must have been horrible. FWIW ive been very lucky not to experience anything worse than that one comment.

Oh and once my boss said (in a completely dead serious tone) about Holly Valance (he had this huge crush on her) to me "I would rape her". In hindsight I really should have called him out on that- was a totally disgusting comment.

As for my two schools. Never had one issue nothing, no bullying, no intimidation, nadda. Very good workplaces both of them.

Male rape is treated as a joke most of the time.

Again something that is terribly wrong that needs to be rectified.

Someone posted a story on GD once- I wont go into the gory details and retell the whole thing but basically it ended with him on the floor and a drunk/fat/ugly girl he told no repeatedly at the party- on top of him trying to insert his penis inside of her.

Everyone laughed at his story (he was laughing too) but i was appalled- I really should have posted something saying that but felt everyone else was laughing about it, id be called a wet blanket or something, not laughing as well.

Anyway- she should/could have easily been charged with something from my POV.

EXACTLY!!! All females need to have the confidence to say no, plus the confidence + strength to have faith in that decision + not be coerced by guys who call them frigid or say vile things so she'll give in.

The problem is that the Old Boys Club is still alive + well! There are still guys who think it's acceptable to pressure women.

There's a great doco out there- this woman totally restructuring the sex ed program.

Sorry i cant recall the name of it, but it was brilliant. She was brilliant. IIRC she was European but went into the British school system with her program.

Kram is way too much of a sweetie, Shell would tear him apart :D:D:D

Shell needs a strong minded guy, who won't be hurt by her bluntness ;) I'm thinking Doss or Chief for Shell :D:p:D:p:D:p:D:p:D:p:D

Liked for this part :)

Yeah I definitely like guys who treat me like shit.
/kidding. But definitely not like a princess. Screw that rubbish.

I like banter.

No not that!

That's as bad as sexual harassment! Or worse!

No, someone strong, who'll love you for who you are, but won't crack the shits if you are too outspoken lol

I just despise weak men + most are very weak, preferring a quiet life, not stirring the pot, instead of having the courage of their convictions.

Shell :D:D:D
