We'll need his presence in midfield if we're any chance for multiple trophies this year. Him and Essien are 2 scary players to play against.

Frustrating game to watch. So many chances, just couldn't put them away.

Mikel was Chelsea's best player.

Didn't give the ball away.

Bosingwa a close second. His first half was about as good as one can play from full back in a half. Just incredible.

Lampard had a great first 30, fairly average for the next 60.

Only two players stood out for me. Mikel and Bosingwa.

as a sidenote though it was good to see drogba chime in on the scorers sheet, just when i thought scolari might have to provide him with a compass and a road map to find the back of the net he decides to reignite
bring on the hammers this week and the hope that our new found home form mid week showed that the blue train is back on the rails or alternatively the players may have heard about the rail union then we're in trouble

Agreed it was only cluj, however I'm hoping at the very least it instils some confidence and that belief we seem to be lacking of recent times back in the playing group, I'm expecting 2-0 over the hammers and anelka and bosingwa on the scorers sheet

A five year old could manage this team to the title, yet Scolari is struggling.
If he just put the best XI possible out on the field we would win most of out games.

Very well put mate, not the slightest bit happy with how scolari has gone so far, sure we're crushing the seller dwellers (except for last night ) but not winning a premier league game at home since early last month is not acceptable, you know at the beginning of the season I was happy with a change of manager because I was under the impression that avram grant was way too defensive and we needed a manager that would allow us to play a more attacking brand of football, however to date scolari has had the exact opposite effect, at least grant had us winning games consistently and had the team gelling together and playing as exactly that.... a team!
As for phil we have 11 individuals out on the pitch with oversized heads who think they're all bigger than the team as a whole and in my opinion no one with an attitude like that deserves to be wearing a chelsea shirt...
With that vent out of the away I will say well done to west ham as they obviously went in to the game with a defensive mindset they knew they would end coming away with at least a point from (although if it hadn't been for carlton cole missing a few sitters it could have very well have been 3) and it worked very well from then, the term parking a bus in defence comes to mind. As for next week all I can say is thank friggin gawd we're away from the bridge, in fact I'm considering writing a letter to the fa asking if all our matches for the rest of the season can be changed to away games though the embarrassments may not have ended...... our next home game is west brom

I've never really liked Scolari, I was gutted when I heard he was our new coach. He made a good Portugal side look terrible in the euro, and I hate the way he cares more about his relationship with the players than the players relationships with each other.

We play predictable football. We will lose or draw to any team with a strong central defence (big four) or a team that park's the bus. Why? All we do is get our full-backs to run up and cross. There's no creativity.

Scolari has never managed against defensive side. For example, which World Cup team goes on the field and plays all out defence? His World Cup mentality is ruining our chances of winning the title this year. Forget about CL, if we win it this year with this guy, i will be surprised.

You said it, tbh it wouldn't suprise me if west brom came to the bridge in a fortnight's time,set up brick wall across their defensive line,scored a fluke goal and came away with 3 points, the reason I say that is because the road we're heading down atm I think that's what it's gonna have to come to for the message to get across. We've gone to polar opposites from avram grant to scolari, the master of defence with very little perception of what attacking football is to phil scolari who has single handedly turned us in to the team with a game plan a bunch of 5 year olds could pick apart, we're choking under defensive pressure, it's at the stage where we might aswell have a banner behind the end we're attacking to that says attn: visiting team-push numbers back in defence, because it's getting that obvious now
Just out of curiosity what are we all thinking in the way of changes to be made for this week away at everton?
One that springs to mind for me is miroslav stoch ,a young striker who's been impressing in the ressies this season, it may be worth taking a punt and starting either him or scott sinclair up front with anelka and then subbing for drogba in the 2nd half again, it's a situation that needs fixing but unfortunately that's not gonna happen until scolari rids the idea that we can consistently win games of football with just the 1 striker up front

Na seriously anyone could do a better job than he is doing, our team is full of stars and he isn't using their potential to his favour.
