Well its the final and deciding test starting today in Perth. What are peoples predictions?

Can someone also post the scores as it goes along.

I won't be going today but hopefully I'm going tommorow and I will definately be going Sunday. Does anyone think it will go the full 5 days? I have my doubts, hence I'm not planning to go on Tuesday. If its still on though, I might try and go, depending on the money situation.

Anyway, its slightly overcast over here but it doesn't look like rain.

For what it's worth, I reckon we can beat them inside 4 days. We are far superior. I just hope you guys get some good weather. Mainly, I hope Langer gets a ton at home.

I don't reckon the kiwis should be opening with Vincent the first gamer to much pressure especially on the WACA wicket.

Sinclair should open with Richardson then move everyone up a spot and bat Vincent at six behind McMillian.

now 2/50
Fleming 14
Vincent 18

Both Vincent and Fleming are looking alright. McGrath has gone of the field with what the believe is a back injury hopefully its not too serious.

They just said McGrath has back spasams in his lower back and has gone off to hospital for some precautionary x-rays they are hopeful that he will back on the ground after lunch.

2/87 at lunch

Confirmed McGrath in hospital as a precaution

Commentators squealing about the lack of depth in Oz bowling stocks and are now calling for an allrounder to be groomed!

Cheers

I'm going to the test on Sunday, friend couldn't make it today.

Fleming - 33
Lou Vincent (sounds like a Gangsta's name) - 33

According to ShaggyGreen, McGrath is "back at the ground after a stint at hospital with back spasms xrayed"

Looking outside my window, the sky is very grey and overcast. Geeze, It hasn't rained here since about August and it would be just out luck that we might get a shower in the afternoon. Fingers crossed.

Streakers?

After the 37th over:
Match State: Delay - Day 1 - Streakers - 3 of them invade the field

:D Was this captured on TV?

2/170. Vincent on 80, Fleming on 68. McGrath can't bowl until 20 minutes after tea.

Had a hunch Vincent would do all right. Sinclair is in a bit of a rut, and Bell was frankly not good enough. This is a terrific start by New Zealand, their best of the tour so far. Fleming looks in good form. We really need all of our fast bowlers out there and firing.

But by the look of that pitch, we'll probably score 800.

New Zealand 2/186 batting very well. The pitch looks like it's 3 days old, I wish they could produce the good 70s and early 80s WACA pitches that were more bowler friendly.

You're responsible for him making 104 when you said that:D

Finished with something like 7/280 odd (?) - don't remember - was getting away from the Aussies until Gillespie and Lee picked up a couple of late wickets each.

We should be able to roll their tall for under 300 tomorrow. Then spend the next 2 days building a solid 1st innings total. Will Steve Waugh make his first ton at the WACA wearing the baggy green?

Mark Waugh, shouldn't that be. Hasn't Steve already made centuries at each Australian Test ground? Or am I thinking of his record against each Test playing nation?

Your thinking bout his record against all test playing nations. He's made a few 90s at the WACA, including one when he was left stranded on 99.

No updates so far today? I'll kick it off.

New Zealand 7/394. Who was it who said we'd knock them over for under 300? We ought to have a moratorium on predictions.

It looks a lot like a draw coming up. Astle and Parore batted very cleverly this morning, seeing off the early overs without taking any risks (or scoring many runs), but they look pretty set right now.

New Zealand proved a lot of us (including me) wrong! Credit goes to the Black Caps.

New Zealand declared for 9/534

Australia currently 1/20
Hayden scored a duck.

End of Day Two and New Zealand on top on a flat deck at the WACA.

Geez it is hard to imagine New Zealand having a better day than they just did today, unless of course they bowl Australia out tomorrow. :D

Who else thinks that replay on the big screen of Waugh catching Astle off Warne ruined Warne's concentration for the next delivery that he dropped?
