it'll be the best win I've seen them in. That second quarter was the worst I've seen from the boys in our forward 50. Too much chipping and not enough shots from 40-50 metres out. You can't chip against the hawks because they stack the backline! We're being too unselfish at times. Just doesn't look good at the moment

The problem is the pressure. They are manically attacking the ball carrier when we bring it inside 50, and we have had trouble finding space to lead into.

Mark my words, though, this effort from the Hawks is buggering them. If we get a run on towards the end of this quarter, we are going to put a break on them.

All credit to the *****, though - they are working damn hard and denying us room to move in the forward line.

Cat's won't win it, tell you right now it's over and I don't care what anyone says, the game was lost in the 2nd quarter. There are WAY to many turnovers from Geelong, pressure is far too enormous, and as I write this, Hakws just scored again... Really need Harley out there too. Absolutely devastated. Lost for words. Mooney is the real disappointment for me today. Cannot comprehend that goal square miss on half time. Clearly rattled him mentally. His third quarter was awful, fourth no better. Stokes a massive disappointment too. Hawthorn played well today, But we can only say WE lost it. Forward line awful. Behind tally incomprehensible. Midfield clearly won. Defence good. Inside 50 stats compelling.
Well done Gary. Admire your courage. Put Tommy Harley in there too.

Hope we will be back next year, and believe we can, team can still be strong but...

We flat out choked today. There is no other word to describe it. We had more ball, more inside 50s, and yet we simply did not take our chances.

The worst thing...was stuck at my Hall with my mates. The Hawthorn supporters weren't bad - it was their team, after all. It was the Carlton and Essendon supporters who jumped on the bandwagon that were bad.
