Facebook is becoming a little too Big brother for my liking

Ben Elton wrote a book on the subject a while back. The title eludes me for the moment - not his best book, but OK, and certainly an interesting subject.

Basically society becomes a "reverse 1984" - everything everyone does is monitored, not by some faceless Big Brother, but because everybody is endlessly sharing every tiny detail online and it has become socially unacceptable not to do so - if you don't have your webcam on while you're having sex it must be because you're ashamed of something.

As I said, not his best book - he struggles to make an engaging plot out of the idea - but an interesting concept. And not a million miles away from where we are currently headed.

so the question remains... those with 'questionable' browsing whilst still logged onto Facebook, do they have the ability to remove this timeline from view to everyone?

We shouldn't have to remove it in the first place because it shouldn't be appearing on facebook in the first place.

Oh i understand your frustration and am in full agreence that it shouldn't be there, but the question still is unanswered.

Has anything been posted anywhere about removing it?

Each to their own but I prefer to get my equivelant fix of time wasting and speaking to people who don't care on BigFooty.
