You at the game obviously today nonch? What do you think is wrong with Glenrowan at the moment. Fitness? They havent lost two in a row for a long time. I still think they will be fine come the end of the year but top two will be tough with too many more losses. They havent played tarra yet either. That must be soon. Not sure if they play them twice this year but with Goorambats draw they must be a chance for top two. As would be Benalla now

They play Tarra next weekend so three straight losses in all likelihood. They came out with very little intensity compared to Benalla today. Once they got going in the third they were very good and looked like they would go on with it. But Benalla lifted a gear in the last and Glenrowan couldn't go with them. Glenrowan essentially played without a bench, with ressies playing a half each, so no rotations, which wouldn't have helped. Once they get their numbers back they will be right, but I can't see them finishing top two. Second spot definitely between Benalla and Gbat in my opinion.

I think the common theme is that glenrowan continue to have blokes play two games. The standard of footy in the O&K has lifted again this year and you can't keep getting away with it.
Participation rates in country footy are decreasing. It's not just a problem in our league but most leagues around the state.
It's not a dig at Glenrowan as they are not the only club that don't have enough players week to week.
We go back to players committing to play for the season but then pick and choose when they play because they go on holiday, weddings, birthdays, only want to play seconds to be better than everyone, the list goes on we have heard them all!

I agree tarra mad them look very slow was a great display by the dogs. North wang unlucky to get there first win one bad quarter cost them came back from 40 point down in the last im sure they could get there first win in the next few weeks.

Round 6 tips;

Milawa to beat Whorouly. From all reports Milawa were fairly ordinary on the weekend but still have too much class for Whorouly
Moyhu to defeat North Wang. Jezza Wilson to star on the open spaces of a Rovers ground
Benalla to just beat Greta. Greta coach doing a great job so far this season.
Goorambat will smash Bonnie Doon
King Valley will easily beat Bright
Tarra over Glenrowan. Glenrowan may drop 3 in a row for the first time in a long time, Tarra just seem to be a cut above this season- will their points come into selection decisions???

Goorambat & Benalla have had cracking starts to the year which is good to see a different mix of teams up at the pointy end of the ladder.

O&K interleague squad to take on Farrer at Rovers ground: Judd Darby, Kaine Herbert, Robert Kirby, Brenton Campbell (Bonnie Doon), Joel Bihun, Karl Norman, Jordy Hansted (Glenrowan), Adam Williams, Daniel Bruce (King Valley), Aaron Braden, Alex Dunstan, Jack Stamp, Josh Owen, Steve Williamson (Milawa), Aaron Cheong, Ben Waite, Corey Smith, Jeremy Wilson (Moyhu), Jy Farrer (North Wangaratta), Dan McCormick, Danyon Hearne, Sam Peters, Hugh Amery, Jack Amery, Jack Spence, Justin Hoggan, Pat Byrne (Tarrawingee).

No players nominated from Benalla, Goorambat, Greta, Whorouly or Bright. Disappointing not to see any Benalla or Goorambat players given how well those two sides have been playing.

Round 6 tips;

Milawa over Whorouly by 60
Moyhu to defeat North Wang by 100
Jezza Wilson and Corey smith to kick 12 between them.
Benalla V Greta - panthers by a small margin.
Goorambat will smash Bonnie Doon 13 goals plus.
King Valley will beat Bright by 6 goals
Tarra over Glenrowan by 5 goals which will kick start a mid season recruiting drive by the tigers who are desperate to win 4 in a row this year and wouldn't be as confident as they were 6 weeks ago.

No Bats or Blues players? What a joke! Pleased for Jy Farrer though.

One of the handiest squads in history. Could easy put a team together from it that would beat the rovers. So i would think the O&K boys will be near certainties to take home the chocolates.

I would be watching the clearance list closely before the cut off date… Hear there’s a bit of discontent at Maggies and there could be an exodus of reserve players heading to the Demons to see out their 2017 seasons..
Hope the whole team is going to the demons they need them all

mine would be milawa to bounce back by 60 nth wang to upset moyhu in a close one greta to upset benalla in a close one goorambat by 20 goals bright to win by 1 goal and if its dry tarra by over 10 goals

North Wangaratta are making great inroads, but Moyhu have been solid against better opposition. That said - I think North will be competitive for all but the premiership quarter.

Benalla All Blacks vs Greta is match of the round - the two big improvers of 2017. My heart says Greta, but unfortunately my head says Benalla by 2 goals.

Goorambat vs Bonnie Doon - The bats in a flogging - 120pts

Tarrawingee vs Glenrowan - shaped up to be the best match of the 1st 1/2 of the season. But things have changed, and it'll be over at 1/2 time. I listened to the 3/4 time address on Sunday and they are ruthless this year. The only real match up will be to see which one of Tarra's forwards will kick the most goals. I picking Raven 7, Hoggan 5. Tarra by 70.

King Valley vs Bright. KV by 40.

I watched Milawa last week and geez they were crap. After the game I was tempted to re-neg on the humble pie served up to me by Nonch. At best the'll make up the numbers - but it is still much more than Whorouly will do. Milawa by 4 goals.
