1. Made me realise that the Bummers really are crap and that the boys are so soft mentally they couldn't get over the stupid 'psychological' rubbish of their 'supposed' dominance over us.

2. If the presence of our CAPTAIN and CHAMPION Chris Judd back in the side doesn't motivate the boys to roll Adelaide at home while they are down - come on we have a nearly 'full strength' list - then nothing will and we will have a mediocre season this year, no doubt. In fact I'd bet with Fev on it...

3. It is interesting how Ratts dropped Thornton and Waite(well 'apparently Waite dropped himself!). I get the feeling Ratts is testing the mental strength of our 'senior players' ie 150+ game players who really after being nearly 8 years in the system should really be playing better, more accountable and dominating footy than they played last week. I get the feeling if we lose this week, players of the ilk of Houlihan and Walker will be under the spotlight in coming weeks, if not Scotland, Simpson and Carazzo in the weeks thereafter.

Interestingly I have gotten over my critique of Russell as for the last 12 games he is now trying his guts out and playing a very accountable brand of footy. He really came of age in the game against Geelong, but you know, at least he did it against the very best team in the league. I can't say Houlihan has done the same this far into his career.

Something to think about.

Shame the Weagles couldn't put them fully away. Only heard a bit of it, sounded like JK couldn't hold a conversation all night.

I must say, people who bemoan the loss of JK for CJ would seem to have it quite wrong so far IMO. For the number of years he's been in the system, JK should be a far more dominant player than what he is. I wouldn't put Henderson that far behind him at the moment.

As far as the game tonite goes, yes, it just shows how far the Blues players were off their game last week. If they turn it around against Adelaide tomorrow, hopefully they'll regain some belief and go on with it.

Agree.
Problem is shit teams do not know how to put other sides away.
Cats/Saints would have won by 12 goals plus last night.

The game resembled two under 12 sides for most of the night...and the last quarter was farcical ...i am embarrassed to think that pathetic mob beat us . :o

They were shit last night, but we were shitterer the week before.

So the last quarter was farc....ical? That sounds about right. :o

Ratten isn't that astute a coach sadly!!

Full strength list?? - apparently not. According to the HS our FSI (Full Strength Indicator) is down to 79% compared to the Crows 85%.

Why on earth are you lumping Simpson with them? He's been our most consistent player this year, and one of the very few last week who actually played a half-decent game. I'd rather put Gibbs under the spotlight than Simpson IMO.

This bloke should have been captain for every match with Judd missing - hell, when we got Judd I argued that Simpson should have got the nod ahead of him.

Well the Judd factor made a big difference, got the boys fired up, even my beloved HOULIHAN, who *cough, cough* sort of won us the game in the last quarter.

Nice to see Ratts make those team changes, all seemed to work, White a more than impressive debut and my man JEFFREY!!!! Garlett weaving some magic.

And geez the reporting on the Age is becoming The Hun quality, noticed how they still think Garlett is 'Gartlett'

Now to see what happens next week!
