How about : Warrick Capper - I Only Take What's Mine
Saw a piece of the vidclip to that on 100 Years Of Football - hideous.

The Twins were the Two sisters from Neighbours who recorded that tune with Stock Aitken Waterman, trying to cash in on the success of Kylie Minogue.
Ahhhhh yes the Blakeney sisters. Started out on Wombat with Agro and Bob La Castra before they ended up on Neighbours.

Stefan Dennis also from Neighbours recorded a shocker from the 80's but can't think of what it was called.

"Don't It Make You Feel Good?", "Solo Dancing" & "This Love Affair" were the only three I could find of his.
I remember one from way back - can't remember which one it was - but it was lamentable.

Other ones that come to mind would be "Take On Me" - reminds me of chucking my guts up outside a fish and chip shop in Huonville after eating dodgy potato-cakes in the mid 80's.
"More Than This" by Bryan Ferry was a dreary as buggery.
"We Built This City On Rock and Roll" by Starship was another I disliked, as well anything by Dire Straits - boring as all hell.
"Hello" by Lionel Ritchie - :o

the guy from neighbours, mite have been 90's called something like "gonna make u feel good"... paul robinson maybe??

Haha there's no end. I cannot believe the Happy Talk ... you mean its a version of "you got to have a dream, for if you don't have a dream, how you gonna make a dream come true"

Would you believe, and beware :

The following scenes may disturb some viewers

My wife and I can sometimes be seen performing the South Pacific "Happy Talk" tune with the hand motions! Yoep, you heard right. Sad, sad, us.

I'm pretty sure thats the one, remember seeing the 12" single at Central Station Records late 80's early 90's? May just have been on their record label as well?

I have about 4 crates of old 7" singles from my dj days to go through, i reckon i might just find a few more shockers to add! :D

Not necessarily shockers but here's some Gimmick songs:

The Firm - Star Trekkin'
Spitting Image - The Chicken Song
Vince Sorrenti - Unbelievable
George Smilovich - I'm Tuff
Michael Windslow - I Am My Own Walkman
Eddy Murphy - Party All The Time
Dolly Dots - What A Night
Jacko - I'm An Individual [B-side is called "Our Relationship Is Giving Me The Creeps" and it's so bad it's almost comical :D ]
Jim Diamond - I Should Have Known Better [Did anyone actually like this number 1 hit?]

I bought the album.

Don't knock em - the Status Quo parody they did was right on the money - it was called boring song.

They did another one which parodied the police that I can't remember the name of.

I heard Thomas Dolby's : "She blinded me with science" the other day it did not sound all that dated and was quite listenable - "Hyperactive" was crap though

Wasnt knocking them. I bought it because I enjoyed the parody. This is the same person who bought Money or the Guns Stairway to Heavan tribute album.(and not just for Rolfs version) The Elvis and Doors rips are brilliant.

The Chorus of boring song was something like:

"A line, a line, a line. a line...........................another line"

which accurately sums up every status quo song
