Quintessential viewing on a Monday.

Love Cam Mooney, loved the episode.

ATTN Producers: There's a state on the other side of the country with plenty of GREAT footballers who haven't even had one feature on the show which is in its X year, any danger of getting one of our legends on?

Good work though OM team
Off the top of my head, I can think of Barry Cable and Nicky Winmar in the last year who have been on the show.

The Kerley one was good for me because I know SFA about South Australian legends so would be good to get more WA players on there. Agreed that Modra would be a good one if they can find him out on whatever peninsula he lives on now.

Just saw the Mooney one.

Thought it was pretty good.

Mooney speaks far better than I ever thought he would have. This interview just further proved that to me.

He held onto that 08 GF for a while. Can't imagine how bad he must have felt!

Peter Matera would be good.

As good as his career was regarded, it could have been one of the all time greats without latter day injuries.

I'm sure theres a story there. Especially about his famed almost leaving.

One of the best wingman of all time. Came close to brownlow 3 times. Inducted into hall of fame a mere 4 years post retirement.

Seems a top bloke in front of a camera. Humble/charismatic.

I stand corrected then.

However, one or two Western Australians in the four years isn't exactly great considering the talent to have come from the state.
I don't have a problem with more WA people, there hasn't been more than just the two i mentioned? Last season those two were on.

Although he is highly regarded, it seem's to me that he is very underrated. I remember in his playing days he was considered the best indigenous player at the time. I have seen a couple of ex players say he was the best they saw. However overall, the experts don't seem to mention him as often as you'd think they would.

Yep, the Mooney interview was fantastic.

This year has been a bit average so far (it's still easily the best footy show on tv though) although, that said, 2 weeks were taken up with Nixon and his absolute horse shit. (by the way, chicken "train" my arse... Anybody who's ever had a line of cocaine knows what a "toot" is... and there's no doubt Nixon loves more than the occasional "toot toot"...)

Anyway, Kerley was great. Loved it.

Guerra was boring. Meh.

Tuddy? Who knows. Although I do like a lot of the 70's interviewees. (I just love that era of footy!)

Yeah, more non-Victorians would be good. I'd love to see a couple of legends like John Cahill and Russell Ebert on OM, they'd both have lots of good stories to tell.

John Cahill's episode would be 25 minutes about coaching in the AFL and then "Do you regret not making the move to the AFL sooner?"

I know and Ebert's would be "do you not regret not moving to the VFL sooner/playing more VFL". Sheahan does a great programme but his lack of knowledge of anything outside of Victoria is woeful.

Because he has no knowledge of what Footy was like in WA and SA pre AFL, it would be sadly irrelevant for him to conduct any interviews with the WA & SA legends pre 1986 - you would be better off getting Commetti to do the WA stuff and KG Cunningham (is he still alive) do the SA ones.

I am more interested in Mike focusing on the behind the scenes machinations of the AFL - Interview a Graham Scanlon or a Jeff Browne or a Geoffrey Edelstein or a John Elliot or some older players/coaches like Peter Daicos, Rene Kink, Bruce Doull, Grant Thomas etc.

Love him or hate him, an interview with Elliot would be a must watch.

In the 150 years of Football book released in 2008, Mike rated him in the top 50 players of all time (from memory somewhere in the 30s), so Mike was obviously a fan.

Reckon he talks himself a bit.
Very un-Australian.
Yep. Very stubborn. Reckon he would have been a pain in the arse to play with and under.
