This will be good. Well at least it would be if an idiot like Sheehan wasn't interviewing him.

"So why did you retire so early?"But thats why i suggested them, Peter Mann and ben Allan both played good footy in victoria before moving over.

Or Quenton Leach.

Yeah I know he did. One moment of glory won't make for an interesting episode though.Kicked Freo's winning goal one year.

Let's be honest - the interesting episodes aren't necessarily the most successful footballers.Yeah I know he did. One moment of glory won't make for an interesting episode though.
Thanks MikeLike open Mike, but in a 16 team competition it took until the 99th episode to have a West Coast player interviewed in Guy McKenna after his sacking from Gold Coast. I would love to see some of the following interviewed: David Wirripunda, Gerard Neesham, Ross Glendenning, Peter Bell, Brian Cousins, John Worsfold, Austin Robertson
Let's be honest - the interesting episodes aren't necessarily the most successful footballers.
Gerard Neesham has also run the Clontarf Football Academy over here (not sure if he still does) so he's been a major influence on a number of Indigenous players. I imagine there should be some discussion about that.
He'll always be ours mate!Peter Bell would be a good Freo guest.
That John Barnes one was the worst I've seen....Don't know how it survived the cutting room floor....Wasn't worth airing....Marginally ahead of the Capper/Nixon one's....Yikes Mike...Creeeeeepy!

Peter Bell would be a good Freo guest.
Peter Bell is in the media a bit but he is also a smarmy prick, you'd either get him in a "pulling no punches" interview where he tee'd off on Connolly (they were not speaking and wouldn't be in the same room at the end) or you'd get him going "yeah, it was all good" etc.
Bell was behind the player led revolt over training methods in 2006 that basically killed Connolly's coaching career (though it took about 12 months to play out fully). He is a pathological white ant. He also lost his shirt in a development in gerardton after he retired, Mike loves delving into player's finances.
Gentleman Jeff Farmer would be another cracker from Fremantle. Winston Abraham would be interesting too.
Chris is that you?
Ended up being the majority of the interview unfortunately... not that it isn't a good story, in fact is one of the very very few programs that makes a difference up there.
Was pretty interesting how he was talking about Rioli - and how while he is a freak athlete one of his key advantages is the ability for him to live in Melbourne.
I would have liked Neesham to come out on the front foot and explain a bit fully how Fremantle got about 1/10 the aid in the Draft teams like GWS/GC got.
Good man eh, remember as a kid watching The WAFL that Neesham was hated by most outside his side Claremont.I liked Neesham, spoke well. I never understood the hate for him as a coach. Why they got rid of him and the went for Drum and Allan was beyond me.
Impressive that he is an Order of Australia medalist, deserves it for the work he's done.
Who's on next week?
