Hutchy on SEN this morning said we have given up on Kerr and we're making cousins our top priority.
Apparently cousins is expected to make public his preferred destination sometime this week, likely to be the Pies closely followed by Saints

I reckon Hutchy is only holding on to the saints thing because he suggested it weeks ago and doesn't want to look like too much of a dud. Trying to save face.

In reality if we want him and he's happy to join, St. Kilda pose no threat of getting him.

I can't stop thinking about how important it is for us to land Cousins now that Kerr is off the radar.

My ultimate Christmas present would involve Cousins and Kerr wearing the Black and White.

Please continue to chase Kerr as long as it doesn't invlove Didak.

GO PIES!

I just reckon, and it's only my opinion, that if we traded for Kerr we would lose as much as we gain, maybe even lose more, you never know how draft picks will turn out and then to throw someone on top like Didak, just not for me. I'd rather make a deal for a younger player ie Thomson, try to turn him into a star and lose a lot less.

I think staying away from Kerr would be dodging a bullet, as we don't have the benefit of say carlton in the Judd scenario of gaining that extra priority pick for nothing.

Totally agree with you here, didaka.

Kerr is a loose cannon who has had several charges brought against him in WA - whatever benefits he might bring to us onfield would unfortunately be more than likely outweighed by his behaviour off it.

Ironically he's been in far more trouble than Didak.

If we want to trade, then look for another Clement, Holland or Medhurst who we can mould into a very good AFL player not the likes of Daniel Kerr who would probably be more trouble than he's worth.

Nice Christmas present!
I'll make sure i tell santa to wrap them up and shove them down the chimney at your place!

I don't agree on the Kerr issue at all.
If Kerr had problems at West Coast they were almost certainly for the same reasons as Cousins issues.
If we did get Kerr I would assume he would be contracted under the same "conditions" as Cousins.
That fact that Kerr was never de-registered or de-listed does not negate the fact that he has had similar problems as Cousins or that it is common knowledge.

What's good for the Cousins is good for the Kerr.

That's IF we get either or both.

On realfooty just now; the Tigers are looking unlikely to go after Ben Cousins.

Cameron, who was confirmed in the Tigers' senior football position yesterday only seven months after he joined the club as the list manager, said the club was well placed with young talent, which left it open to trades for mature players. He was doubtful that that would include drafting Ben Cousins.

"We have to be open-minded about trades, I wouldn't like to put us in hole and not take anyone over 25. But I think our philosophy will be to go to the draft," Cameron said. "At this stage, I think (Cousins) is probably not one for us."
