Massive orange glow at my house, really surreal with rain thumping down. Looks like a crazy weekend of weather ahead

Absolutely pissed down for a good half an hour while I was covering a soccer game.

It was amazing. The sky was green and orange.

My son's a TV couch potato but just after 5pm I yelled at him to come up to the front patio and see something amazing......I was so insistent that he made the supreme sacrifice and actually shifted his butt to come and have a look.

Even he was impressed....then it absolutely pissed down.

Incredible stuff.

Now it is bloody chilly and windy, i feel like i am living in Toowoomba

Was in a cab line from midnight to about 2am in some of the coldest weather I've experienced in Brisbane. Cursing the weather, the total lack of public transport after midnight and the fact that I thought I didn't need a jacket when I went out.
