Get up and do the kids' Father XMas thing in the morning
You've broken my heart MD, you've broken my heart.

I don't get off until 7pm Sunday night :(

But then get to sit around at home, oh that's right no driving anywhere. All my rellies come to me. Grandparents coming from germany on Thursday, so see them for like the second time in my life.

Boxing day, a day of cricket, beer, bbq, beer, sydney to hobart, beer, sleep, beer.

I think i have to work on Wednesday, but then have organised the rest of the week off until the 8th of January. YAY!

Going to Melbourne just after New Years for a few days. A really easy Xmas to be honest.

Friday work closes at 1pm but really we stop work after the last mail delivery at about 10am (well that's the plan, unless the higher ups decide that there is work that needs doing)

Friday night - a few friends and family around my place for my b'day :D

Normal weekend of annoying the dog, cleaning and rearranging the house and working in the garden (hopefully)

Xmas - off to parents in the morning for presents etc and then up to my aunties for lunch. Dunno about the plans for the night, maybe still at the parents

New Years - no idea about plans yet, will spend a bit of time with my friend and her young son over the xmas break at their holiday accomodation.

back at work on the 2nd :P My hols are a little later, in Feb and March when my friend from Leeds arrives to visit (watch out Adelaide!)

Australia Day - Chappell Stand with my sister who now loves me forever because I got tickets to the game!

Finish work 5pm Thursday... Xmas shopping on Thursday night and Friday. Quiet one Friday night, heading to an Xmas party Saturday night... off to family friends place for xmas eve party with lots of drinks and partying. Down for a visist to the oldies Monday morning, back to our place to set up for Mums family coming over for Lunch.... then head off to Victor Monday night for dinner with Dad's side of the family... bit of drunken backyard cricket and a long long night. Down there for a week or so.

:thumbsu:

Looking forward to finishing work on at 5pm on Friday – have Dinner plans with my family and will only have a few Christmas drinks at some place down the bay.

Do the usual food shopping for Christmas dinner on Sunday at the Central Markets (Vegies, Turkey and Ham and other stuff) (yes I know I am gluten for punishment)

Family comes to us so we don’t have to drive anywhere; we just have to put up with everyone. Drop my dad home around 4ish and then start the mega clean up after the huge mess.

Boxing Day test match - the usual spirit of Christmas

NYE – not sure yet, I will have dinner with my other half and then see the New Year in at home

Back to work on the 8th of January but my other half is overseas for a work junket for 2 weeks on the 6th of January.

Work well nope that wont stop Im working my first xmas day ever but I dont start until 3:15pm, so will enjoy presents with family and kids and a very nice lunch at our place, will be a very exciting time as Mel's sister is coming back after being o/seas for the past 2 and 1/2 years, she gets back xmas eve,

Not really if the Baker's Delight he works at was the same I worked at he will work all those hours and not see any o/time pay, hence why this qualified baker doesnt bake anymore.

Xmas eve 2003 I worked 16 hours and instead of paying me the o/time, the owner said 'nah I dont pay o/time but hey I will give you a $100 bouns' take the tax off and I get an extra $70:thumbsd:

Get paid salary (so flat rate per week). Will probably just get a bonus cash in hand of not a hell of a lot. And people, lets not forget some of the girls out the front that will work for 6 hours will get paid more than us bakers because it will be Sunday casuals rates! Its bull********, we work like dogs and get f***all. They pull in their 30 bucks an hour and get close to the same as what we get - for twice as long. Xmas Eve sucks, and so will the 23rd because its a Saturday. And guys FYI - Baker's Delight at Elizabeth - award winning baker (ahem) ;) . We dont all get 4 days off in a row :thumbsd:

That sucks man, its a pity commeon sense doesnt prevail.

I work at a Golf Course, we dont get any time off over this period,as you can imagine it is a very busy time, we are lucky in the fact we get over time on the public holidays, but most dont need to work but unlucky in the fact we are back to work 5am wednesday.
