It's never been that uncommon for cricket umpires to stuff up their count to 6. So if club's are counting down from a 5 to go warning, you'd expect an occasional stuff up. Just give them an electronic board that tells them how many to go and thus reduces a chance for a stuff up, because that's a really shit way for a game to finish.I think the fact that this is the first time a club has exceeded the interchange cap since the cap was brought in indicates there is nothing wrong with the system. North just royally stuffed up.

The irony is that the rule was introduced to stop teams having too many players on the field. This happened when Sydney actually did it and did not get penalised! It's never been that uncommon for cricket umpires to stuff up their count to 6. Aren't they two different rules? The irony is that the rule was introduced to stop teams having too many players on the field. This happened when Sydney actually did it and did not get penalised!
Surely Simpson gets the sack.Eagles are a Basket Case
It’s all part of the interchange vibe.Aren't they two different rules?

apparently there is also an electronic system in place as well, and it changes colour once interchange limits are reached, in any event after being penalised for a 76th rotation, they went ahead and stuffed up again and made a 77th rotation, there’s no cure for stupidIt's never been that uncommon for cricket umpires to stuff up their count to 6. Don't know. They're a waafl team. How many of those blokes would make the Collingwood team?Surely Simpson gets the sack.
Remind him Fitzroy only won one flag some 50 years prior to being kicked out.I was talking to a family member, who is a WC supporter tonight. He told me WC should get a priority pick, because Fitzroy won 3 out of 39 games and got kicked out of the league, and the the WC have won 3 out of their last 38. I told him the Pies will help them break the record in two weeks time.
Strange they don't give warnings for most if not all other rules. They give one warning and then next time it's a free.
I like it. The warning doesn't have any effect on the game - just adds a few seconds to the time that it takes to bounce the ball after a goal.Strange they don't give warnings for most if not all other rules.
My initial comment in this was connected to the interchange rule and harsh penalty North received on the weekend, ie a free and a 50..yet this 6-6-6 rule they consistently just give warnings for. It's the inconsistency of applying rules which shits me.I like it. The warning doesn't have any effect on the game - just adds a few seconds to the time that it takes to bounce the ball after a goal.
The difference is that there is an advantage in exceeding interchanges and to get rid of the advantage you'd have to wind back the game and reverse the interchange. In terms of a 6-6-6 warning - no advantage was had because the game doesn't restart until they're all in place. My initial comment in this was connected to the interchange rule and harsh penalty North received on the weekend, ie a free and a 50..yet this 6-6-6 rule they consistently just give warnings for. Ah well. I'll guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I thought the penalty of a free and a 50 against North was too harsh. And I find it increasingly annoying that umpires continually give a warning for a rule, such as 6-6-6 which has been in place for a while now.The difference is that there is an advantage in exceeding interchanges and to get rid of the advantage you'd have to wind back the game and reverse the interchange.
