The way I look at it, the ladder position in the top four doesnt really concern us... but moving up the ladder will save us some "Daicos points" (although I'm not expert and happy to be corrected)

And on a personal note I'm indifferent about both teams so dont care if they win. Its not as it if its Essendon, Rishmond, Geelong etc...

Our points are tied to the Doggies, Freo and Adelaide as we have their picks. So the further the 3 fall, the higher the points we will have and fewer points we need to make up on a bid for Daicos. Doggies is the main one.

Opposition teams have now had time to work out game plans to counter the Dees strengths.
For Melbourne this is a good thing, much better to have time to tweak before finals. Much worse to be worked out in September.

Stephenson is a frustrating player.

Big hype around Nik Cox and some of Essendon's other youth, I think he has a long way to go, and is built like David Bourke from Richmond which I've said before. This will always limit him.
