This is a begrudging congratulations and will try to keep insults to a minimum as you really do deserve the form you've found. (after 11 seasons)

That loss hurts like hell and Sunday night was a truly sleepless night for my household. Your team killed us on Sunday - at our own game and what's more you did it with minimal imput from the likes of Pavlich and Haselby. (would have liked to have seen more of Medhurst though)

I can no longer refer to you guys as the Purple Pretenders now you are looking so good for Glory in September (though I will be going for the other team - whoever you play).

No excuses for our boys but hope for at least a much more cracking performance from them if our paths cross come finals time.(when the true might of the West Coast Eagles will crush even the strongest purple heart)

Anyway, I hate your mob even more now - mainly because of the addition of fear of what you guys can do to us.(finally)

Well I'm on board!

I bought a Freo membership at the start of the year as a result of everyone (from the east) calling them pretenders! I am a member of Carlton also (family is involved, so shhh) but understanding the blues are a few years off I need to take pleasure out of seeing an underdog succeed!

Congrats to you guys/gals who have stuck by them through the troubled times. I hope this september campaign gives you much reward. Hell i need your boys to fire or its going to cost me some hard earned dollars!!!

Danger game this week after the hype of last (hell it was huge over here - let alone over there)! Need to hold on to thrid...

I know Haze is struggling with OP (or the like) can he rest this week? Need him for the final eight. He is important (not only for his playing ability) and deserves it after playing so well for 6 or so years in a team that hasn't performed that well.

Good luck fellow members (I can say that)! I honestly hope I can send them back west the flag and if so I expect a drink off everyone of you at the Perth Cup!!!!

The good old days got me over the line... The dockers clearly didnt have the cattle in the dark old days... However, they could have tried to a) kick it backwards and play basketball crap or b) take the league head on with a play on at all costs mentality. The latter option was selected and it made for some good viewing! Culturally they (we) need to win the first final ! And then there is no stopping the belief of the purple power!

I actually got it from the film Groundhog Day. I guess for the past decade or so the Dockers have had their own kind of Groundhog Day - reliving the same tepid, ordinary season over and over again while their cross town neighbours soared like, well, eagles.

They love their team, put together by an unbelievable array of concessions and advantages designed by the AFL to buy an instant national competition. But the front running fans now celebrate like mad the success they had, now a dim memory from before we even existed. But they replay the very bad ads they had on the tv back then, just to remind them. That ad was the funniest thing to watch during the derby. And now that their knees are knocking because of the pantsing they got, they crawl over to our board and say things like "it's great to see the little brother doing well", or "zing".

I sense some sadness here. people who crave success. Instant success, that you don't need to struggle for. "Give us another draft pick or 20 will ya" types. So where do they go? they are drawn here by the purple light. They pretend they hate us, because they don't want to appear too disloyal. But underneath they are starting to wear purple g-strings with #28 on it. They start to say nice things about us and our club.
