He's a better mark than Franklin. He does some seriously eye catching stuff. I have seen him take a couple of superb hangers.

He's also lazy.

If you can instill a hard work ethic and wait a couple of years, then you could have a dead set gun on your hands.

Easy solution, chain him to Nick for the remainder of the preseason.

Really interesting one Murdoch. If even just one of he and Jimmy Webster works out well for us and reaches their potential then we'll have some really outstanding long left foot kicking around the outer middle part of the ground.

Yep. pinpoint kickers. Murdoch's kicking reminds me of Bayes for the Swannies in the eighties - his kicks carried the pack and is the reason that Capper took so many hangers - the defender often underestimated the length of the kick. check out murdoch's highlights and this happens with a lot of his kicks because he has great penetration.

Interesting when Pelchan was on saints tv he said that over the next 3 days they will look at the list again re Dec draft/Rookie drafts. Interesting!
I have a feeling there's a few rookies that might be saying bye-bye.

Just watched Murdoch's footage & he looks very balanced, hard at it & a beautiful left foot kick.

Very happy with the new crop & happy to take Wright on as 'my boy' just because my old mate TBarker doesn't rate him :)

Now that we've gotten Wright and given the fact Siposs, Winmar, Dunell and Murdoch (apart from anyone else) could all play a similar role across HB, I would think the one (and probably only one) most likely in the gun is Cameron Shenton. A lot will probably depend on whether there is anyone left that we really rated last night who didn't get picked up. The fact that we took a fair bit of time with our last pick suggests that there was at least one more who we would have liked to have gotten had we had another pick, so if no-one picked them up then we might be keen to see if we can get them in the rookie draft.

Yeah I noticed that. We have a few who can do that now, including Siposs, Gwilt and Stanley. Funny you mention Mark Bayes. I used to follow Sydney back then and he was a favourite of mine. :thumbsu:

I hope Darren Minchington doesn't, showed a bit before having Hip Surgery. Scott rates him by the sounds of things, But we do have a fair few Small Forwards so could also be on the chop.

I hope Nick Winmar can get his body right, get consistent form and play in the Seniors, His pace would be even more better!! Winmar, Wright, Saad, Milera, Stanley, White, TDL, Saunders + others.. We are getting a very fast side together.

Lewis Pierce is a big man who had a big wait, but it was worth it.

Seventy-four picks went by ... (and) at home the Mt Eliza 18-year-old was a nervous wreck.

"I had a weird feeling because I thought they were talking about me and it looked like Tony Elshaug was pleading my case on television.’’

Measuring 202cm, Lewis believes he has more growing to do.

"I’m trying to put the weight on. I’m 92kg now. Hopefully I’ll be 100kg in a couple of years.’’

Thats the biggest one there, he has never had any consistency in his game throughout his entire career. Hopefully he actually knuckles down and realizes the enourmous opportunity he has been given and starts getting serious about his career instead just plodding along like it will be gifted to him.....

I just cannot believe that 18 clubs were totally clueless when it came to drafting Garlett!

I think recruiters should spend more time on this forum instead of testing and interviewing players.

/sarcasm.

I know how you feel, its like when I know I'm the only sane one and everyone else is crazy woooop woooop woooop I'm a teapot.
