He is a beautiful kicker, both set shots and passing.
But lately we haven't seen him doing any of those crazy celebrations after a goal.

Just wondering about something. I'd regularly read the match reports here to see how the Irish lads are doing and it's good to see Setanta doing well. However, a lot of the positive comments he gets seem to be qualified with "He'll never be a star". Now that's fair enough but at what point should people just give him credit for what he's doing instead of damning him with faint praise? What is a 'star' anyway? I say fair play to him, he went from one side of the planet to the other as an elite hurler (not an elite gaelic footballer), to take up a new sport which he is now regularly playing at the highest level possible. He seems to be contributing plenty the last few weeks as far as I can see. It bugs me when people talk about 'The Irish Experiment' as I think it's a bit of an insult to him. At what point does he stop being an experiment? How many games does he have to play? Hope he keeps doing his bit to help bring success to the club and hopefully he has another Irishman in the team with him before long (good man Zach!).![]()
