Our forward line - Discuss..

Our forward line is a joke and it's what is holding us back from being a really good team.
We have a gutless, heartless full forward with no resilliance and no ability to play through pain and step up when things go bad unlike Judd and Murphy who put in when they have to reguardless. He'll continue to let us down until the day he retires. See you in the Ants Fev for a wake up call.
Cloke and Wiggins who are shocking players not worthy of playing in any side capable of making finals.
A heap of players running around up forward aren't forwards and when they get the footy they miss.
We have crap forwardline pressure against decent sides. We allow opposition players to get loose out the back and walk out of defence wake up coaching staff and get some accountability going!
A coach with no imagination to throw Kreuzer forward and Hampson in the ruck, not the other way around! Our forwards were poor and our forward structure and setup was just as bad.
Our best forward in the Ants is the unlisted Saddington.

On the up side Yarran looks like he'll be a good player. Garlett is a likely type and hopefully can grow into a good player for us. Robinson has the ability and the right attitude to play in our forward line. Welcome back Brad Fisher and maby Ryan Houlihan.

What we must do is have Waite forward, bring in Robbo and Fisher and get rid of Cloke and Wiggins, they aren't our future. Kreuzer MUST play forward. We need to go crazy recruiting forwards and see if we can pinch one in a trade. Maby try Hartlett up forward again?

I thought the same thing about this article. Was unwarranted and thought it would jinx the wiggler. Being in Adelaide I couldn't see the game so I am not sure about much but enough has been said.

Our forward line has been our problem for ten years - simple as that.

Options used to be lance, fisher and fev (corey, deluca, etc...agh) - to have cloke and wiggins is just sad - really sad.

Over and over, a long bomb into our attacking 50 from our midfielders, and the Dockers were at the fall of the ball every single time, crumbing and rebounding. I called the ABC after the game to vent my frustration and they agreed with me wholeheartedly that the 'hit and hope' forward 50 entries were an issue that needed to be addresses by the coaching staff.

Our successful plays came from run and carry forward 50 entries, when the ball was kicked over the top of our forward line for a 6 pointer.

Stop this "our forward line sucks" crap, the bottom line is, we need a plan B to combat the flooding tactics used against us. We're so used to seeing Fev out-numbered at marking contests with no crumbing forwards. It's about time we worked on some set plays at training to make positives out of a negative situation.

Tonights games stats support the 'forward entry' is our problem theory but let's not just eliminate MC prioritizing - you take Fev out of our forward line and we have the worst forward line in the AFL so it follows that you beat Fev or he is injured or he has a bad night and we once again WE have the worst forward line in the AFL

Third Quarter we were drilling them - five behinds (i think) we lost the game right there. Our plan be must be the midfield - we need to look at Footscray.

Our delivery to our disfuctional forward line was terrible, Freo get numbers back and force us to be precise with our delivery and we butcher it far too much, kicks hitting the deck, going over heads and hell i even seen a torpedo on the run FFS, no system but also no poise or the required skill execution.

Hey dude there is no chance of winning a flag in the next few years,we might play finals during that but that's it. The club has depth in the list but like the great man Glenn Archer said The game isn't just about the midfield.We need to fix the backline but the forward line is a issue also.

The problem with our recruiting we are just been looking at the midfield and Ruck. The players drafted could all play in the midfield at some stage but most are undersized on key position.

There is absolutely no key position or tall players taken even as rookies on the list. The guys like Hartlett,Cloke,Ohailipin are not good enough,Edwards isn't the answer.

Josh Kennedy look rather heavy when we drafted him and i didn't rate and still don't.

Their is only 2 guys on the list Brad Fisher who half of the people here don't rate and Mark Austin who taking a while with question marks but may slot in somewhere in the backline.

This is 1 player on a list of 38 + Rookies not including guys like Michel Jamieson and Jarrad Waite over 192cm who isn't a Ruckmen.

Caleb Tiller is too small for a Key position like CHF,CHB same goes for O'Keefe,Anderson,Browne,Hadley,Stanton,Armfield and the list goes on.

I Didn't include Brendan Fevola but his already near 30,most teams have descent talls,look how Essendon and other clubs are going and have recruited.

Matthew Kreuzer is the only hope in the forward line but his really our Ruckmen and may be the number 1 Ruckmen if Warnock never makes it.

We turned the ball over time and time again all over the field. They then rebounded easily linking up into an open fwd line and made us pay (should have made us pay even more).We seem to lose all composure trying to enter 50

Rambo is right there, we have drafted poorly when going for tall player, so far... Give Hartlett a chance and don't write off Edwards.

We need to get more genuine forwards in our team, players who actually pose a threat to defenders. Players who take their oppertunities. Watching essendon's big CHF the other night just made me realise how bad Cloke and Wiggins are.
Hartlett in for Cloke, Robbo in for Wiggins. Let's move forward.
