Adams could be the one if he sorts his disposal by foot out

Freeman could be the one but his kicking is the worst of all of them at the moment, mad dash out of traffic and oops, helicopter kick to an opponent

Broomhead is a smooth mover, very skillful but, may end up more a goal kicking flanker or wingman

De Goey has X factor, imposes himself on big games at important times but, its very early days

Nice Article and saying how much Adams and Freeman are Killing it on the Track.

Kids are Looking up at Adams seeing how hard he is Training.

Freeman is just Lighting it up.

Reckon Adams is a Chance at the Leadership Group and Freeman is a Chance at Winning the Rising Star Award

I'm interested in seeing freeman for the first time. Everyone from pre-draft to now keeps raving about him. But his videos at the draft didn't seem anything special. Just seemed like he stood off packs by 0.5m then received a handball ran 20 meters and kicked it 30m. Every single highlight was the same. I want to see all these other parts to his game that everyone says he has.

De Goey will be our best recruit since Pendles but may not be starting in the centre square, but rather working his way between half back and half forward. He alone is more than worth the loss of Beams. Broomhead is another boom recruit more suited to half forward than centre. As pure mids, Freeman and Goodyear have years ahead of them to prove themselves.

Sometimes I wish we kept a running record of every posters 'bookmark it' comments. Seems a lot of people (including the media) want to be able to say they were the first to spot a talent so they go way to early. We haven't even seen two of these players.

Don’t Feed the Troll;)

You think I was trolling?

I just think it would be interesting to see which posters actually have a good reputation for picking future stars as apart from the ones who just randomly latch on to new players every 6 months and no body remembers how many times they get it wrong. I don't mind people guessing. Just gets kind of silly with so many people say 'future star. guaranteed' like they are an authority. (not specifically this thread)

I'll just be happy to see them debut. Then maybe get a few games a sub. Then maybe some full games in the second half of 2015.

I don't think you're a troll, I think you're a bit of a wet blanket.

What's the harm in letting people get excited over new prospects?

Pro tip: If THATSGOLD starts giving your posts likes then you're probably being overly negative ;)

Taylor Adams gets the hard ball, passes it out to Freeman, he bursts out of the pack takes a bounce goal...

Frankly if they both don't cement a place in the midfield by seasons end without some good reason (ie. injury) we should be asking questions of our recruitment and development staff.

Thats harsh. Its basically Freemans first year. Going off that you would have got rid of Dane Swan when he was young.

I voted Adams. For no other reason than I haven't seen Freeman & De Goey play an AFL game yet.
Broomhead I think will be more a small forward & I agree with donnie5 . I wont be writing off Kennedy just yet. The kid has plenty of ability.

If we're relying on two players yet to play a game of AFL to be cemented in our mid field by the end of the season, we are in real trouble.

Edit: sorry, thought you were talking about DeGoey and Freeman.

I would have voted Scharenberg as I believe the club recruited him with the thought ofhe will develop into a strong bodied midfielder. It may take longer but I am sure he will be the cream of the crop. The thought of DeGoey, Freeman and Scharenberg running through the middle will be the reason will be successful for an extended period. All 3 top ten draft picks and all different skill sets.

Why is there no Ben Kennedy in this thread? I think he has huge potential...

I see him more a Small Forward that would have a bit of Midfield time

Yeah, maybe. I assume you accept the judgement with regards to Adams. I'm talking about the midfield group so really it comes down to both cementing a place in the 22 by season's end, 25 or so games away. Its not like they are breaking into the league's premier midfield. We have let go of some real talent and set our sights on a minor/major rebuild. If Freeman isn't there until mid 2016 or so, when can we expect Scharenberg or DeGoey, 2017/8?

I'm not suggesting we should get rid of Freeman anymore than we should have got rid of Dane Swan. I am suggesting the current coaching/whoever at the club needs this youth to step up next year significantly. I can't see many supporters being happy if we are still unsure if the rebuild will pay off by the end of 2016 and the only way we can be sure is to see these players show real promise over the next 12 months. Its not about relying on them to achieve but a case of that the current coaching/recruitment/developmental staff must be judged ultimately by outcomes and time is running out for those outcomes to remain uncertain.
