Am I the only one who has noticed this? Our game plan has been worked out by every coach in the AFL. We keep trying to play the same style even when it's not working for us and Clarko does NOTHING to change it. What's wrong with a bit of tight one on one when the situation requires it, or using the huddle at kickouts or one of several different zone formations we get taught even at Amateur level? No. Come rain, hail or shine we play the same style. Offensively we try to run and handball until we find a loose man and we will not kick unless it is to a loose man. Defensively we zone up and are basically content for our opponent to chip around the boundary uncontested until they kick into their forward 50 where we will supposedly have numbers and run the ball out. Well guess what everybody, it's not working. We aint surprising anyone anymore and unless Clarko adds some strings to our bow, I fear there will be more ugly football and ball butchering ahead. But hell I've only been to about 1000 games of footy in the last 25 years and played about 300 games. What would I know? Would love to know the thoughts of those who attend our games. TV viewers see much less of the actual set up part of our play.
