damien hardwick said our season "starts now" after round 10 last year...

we won 5 plus 3 this year. and a draw, thats 8-1-10 in our last 19.
not too bad.

for a team that "were the new fitzroy" and "wouldn't win a game".

got to keep level headed tho. still very young, and we made fade later on in the year.

Irrelevant. 9th has taken on a special evil meaning for me. Just the thought of it makes me twitch and start to think about self harm. I'd rather finish 10th.

I think we'll finish 10th and be on the march to finals next year, no need to get ahead of ourselves just yet the plan isnt to win now, its 2012-2014 when we will be top 4.

I think we'll just miss out on the 8 this year, either by the full 4 points but hopefully not 9th on percentage

I'm not expecting the Tigers to keep the intensity from the past few games going all season, plus there's injuries, we play many of the top 8 teams again etc etc

I'm sure we're getting a great display of our potential now, and if we can play against teams like the Dogs like we did in that second half against Freo, then the skies the limit!

We are every chance for the finals. We are top 10 on the most recent 18 games and are every chance. Quite frankly it wouldn't surprise me to see us beat he Dogs.

I would not bet against it, it looks like all the factors are falling into place...
i dont really mind too much as long as we finish above 9th the following year.

Afterall Ninthmond is better then fifteenthmond!

I reckon our draw is reasonably good this year
I only rate Geelong and Collingwood as unbeatable by us at present we only play geelong once and dont play collingwood at all

12 wins will make the finals the way we are currently playing we will win

Making 13.5 wins for the year so if we drop a couple of these we should win then that takes us to 11.5 wins for the year which is 3.5 more then i thought was possible and a pretty good result for a team that has lots of upside going into next year. Injuries to key players of course could make a big difference

I do like the way we are currently playing at the moment the way the team runs forward in attack now is great to see when we went forward against freo on the weekend we looked super dangerouse with lots of options and plenty of players running into space it was fantastic to watch.

Have a few things to say on this.

1. The point of the thread is not to point out the 9th trend. Its to show that in our last 22 games, last year included, we've been very competitive and won many games. As has been said - we are no longer a bottom 4 side.

2. Loved the video! Very clever.

3. I think we can make the 8 this year. I did a predictor and had us on 11w 1d 10l, if we can snatch one more game out of those matches (beating Melbourne twice maybe, or winning one over the Dons), 12w 1d is finals

4. If we don't make it, it won't be a big deal, as that wasn't our plan for this year. Next year is when it happens for us. However as has been said, I would take 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th over 9th any day.
