Our leaders are soft front running marshmallows.

Club is not going anywhere with this coach and this leadership group. Once again when the chips were down , noone stood up.

I'm sick of this club's softness so like the club I'm not going anymore this year and will be reassessing my financial contribition while the space cadet is coach

Sayonara. I've had a gutful of this shit.

It's just become so predictable, week in week out, you can pretty much tell what is going to happen. I knew Motlop, Duncan, Christensen would run riot, we will probably win next week, but will lose to Footscray. It's a serious issue.

Since Swallow has come back he has been seriously struggling defensively, gets his tackles in close, but gets exposed on the turnover. Whoever was on him tonight was obviously instructed to stream forward at every opportunity. So many times tonight he got caught out against Stokes, selwood and Christensen.

Dal epitomised his leadership with that toe poke when the game was on the line in the 3rd quarter. Really pathetic stuff.

Petrie, was just Petrie. Mr. Nice guy.

Ziebell. Still underdone. Make or break pre-season.

Ziebell still has value at the trade table. At the end of next year he won't.

That second quarter, when Geelong got a string off the ball free kicks, just highlighted how appalling our on field leadership is. Heads down and hands on hips everywhere. Meanwhile when we got the umpiring in the third, their leaders stood up and wrested back control.

I'd rather trade Swallow. Ziebell is a match-winner.

In truth Greenwood is the one who we should be moving on.

Agree with all - our leaders are absolutely woeful, disgrace to the jumper. No one will seize the game by the scruff of the neck.

There is still a perception in the broader football community, albeit lessened, that someone can make a Ziebell an A grader. Produce the same next year and that will be shot completely.

Greenwood won't get much, Swallow is on the older side although a WCE might be interested in him.

I sound like a curmudgeonly old bastard but ultimately a lot of our team leaders are downhill skiers so something has to change.

We are either a stupid team who can't make well thought decisions when disposing the footy or we are just lazy and cant last four quarters mentally and physically.

I have been a huge fan of gibbos. But this was the icing. Mate your a gun runner but what's the point if you cant use it or ruin passages of play? Would actually rather start seeing games into brad mckenzie

There are alot of these threads - I do empathise with the sentiment atm.

The club is just outwardly projecting a bad image to the members at the moment in terms of leadership and hunger for success. Whether its justified or not I don't know.

There was chatter about things like Black wearing sunnies during a session as a gag-punishment for losing the goal kicking challenge for the week.

I heard Adams - who I rate as a leader - on SEN Friday morning talking about how the lads like to joke around with punishments like 'beat the blender' "If someone was late for training" amongst other examples of indiscretions. I was surprised with that example.

If players are late for training, they are on notice - should be fined and in the VFL for a week. But seems to be a bit of a joke atm at Arden Street.

Clubs like Hawthorn were holding collective Sunday Session punishments prior to their 08 success - for the whole playing group - at first light if one person was straying from team rules.

Maybe it was a throwaway from Adams, but, like I said, the perception among members is that these guys are having a larf on the club's dime.

You mean the guy who is probably leading our B&F?

To be honest, I don't know how tonight's loss is making you reassess your financial contribution when you still turned up during the Laidley years. If you give up attending, that's far softer than anything this club has served up during the year.

The effort by Dal on the last line, missed toe poke, then tried to smother with his leg instead of tackle was disgraceful. Can Dal kick over 30m? We recruited the biggest front runner in the comp.
I like that we got NDS....but there is the 1 or 2 instances per game where he makes some serious unaccountable efforts...It wouldn't be tolerated at St Kilda and we shouldn't be tolerating it at North Melbourne,

Andrew Swallow is too much of a nice guy on the field, gets constantly held at stoppages, gets head high contact while winning the ball, but no free kick, and just cops it, you see Selwood, Ablett, Hodge, Boak etc, constantly chatting to umpires seeking explanations, or pleading their case, get with the program skipper, to a lesser extent, same goes for Drewie

When has Z last been a match winner? How many matches has he won off his own boot.....3-4?

So trade Greenwood....the best player at the club this year hey?

PLEASE!

Totally agree!

Thread title is confusing though.... Using "our" had me thinking we actually had some [emoji57]

This is exactly how I perceive this playing group. They don't take it serious enough and they come across like a bunch of guys that have too much of a laugh and don't give each other the hard honest truth when its needed.
This is what I hope they are going through right now and pretty much how I feel after every loss:
