I think I read somewhere Tex Wanganeen is looking a bit of a golfer.

Scotty Hodges' kids wouldn't qualify under f/s for the Power.

Ended with 180 odd as I recall.

Missed a season with a broken ankle (early 90's), and time with the Crows which all contributed to not meeting the 200 milestone.

understand that our players are having girls but a few of the players, but some of the Port Magpies 200 game players are below nad then there are a few who are just below but still rather handy.
Port players 200 games plus

Russell Ebert 392
Greg Phillips 343
Darren Smith 343
Tim Ginever 314
Kim Kinnear 272
Stephen Williams 269
Darrell Cahill 263
Brian Cunningham 255
Rohan Smith 251
Tim Evans 248
Darryl Borlase 246
George Fiacchi 236
Trevor Sorrell 235
Paul Northeast 234
Bruce Light 216
Chris Natt 216
Roger Delaney 208
Russell Johnston 208

Hopefully sometime it does get changed to 150 games or more as that would give us a few more options.

Bruce Abernethy 192
Tony Giles 190
Scott Hodges 183
Paul Belton 182
David Brown 182
Peter Woite 182
Gregory Boyd 172
Stephen Carter 172
Andy Porplycia 163
Stephen Clifford 162
David Hutton 159
Max James 156
Ivan Eckermann 150
Martin Leslie 150

Not quite as simple I'm afraid - bit like the Bryce Gibbs saga.

The magpies players had to play the 200 games beween 77-97 - a lot of the players on your list didn't do this.

A Hodges knocks out an Alberton. I like it. As I said in the other bumped thread if Hodges' boys are playing other sports and are any good - dont let them play in a registered footy comp in Oz for 3 years and we get them as a Category B rookie bypassing the draft.

I think 100 games is fair, it should just be universal to all clubs.... just not like this:

"Taylor Zimmermann, two for you. Glenn Coco? FOUR for you, Glenn Coco! You go, Glenn Coco. And uh... "Caddy" Heron. Do we have a Caddy" Heron here?"

"It's Cady"

"Oh Cady, here you go, one for you... And none for Gretchen Wieners, bye"

Replace the names of people with football clubs and thats how I feel about F/S.

Australian Money Tournaments in Adelaide are horrible standard with all due respect...

100% agree. When things like COLA, equalisation tax, priority draft picks get constantly talked about as being unfair, the F/S rules should be at the top of this list.

Look its getting better and our F/S is coming into line with the rest of the league soon but still, its been bulderdust until now.

Perhaps Jack Alberton should be the symbolic individual that represents all Port supporters, in the same way that John Bull represents the English.

Beats the hell out of the 12th/19th man.
