Our ruck and slow midfield is an obvious weakness but I think we have another serious weakness our faithful seem to be forgetting on this site.
A small shut-down backman/BP player.
We cant seem to find a reasonable small backman to shut down the likes of Farmer/Milne co. ect.
Lockyer did alright at times, then went ****, but did alright as a forward towards the end of the season.
I believe Lonie is a waste as a backman, he can be one of the most important midfield player for us, as shown at the start of the season, playing as an attacking wingman going to goal, he can probably kick 2 or so goals a game if he isnt shut down properly.
Back to the point. Clement is being forced, far too often, to take a small forward because we lack a quality small backman. Your thoughts?
