Media be one of the last people I believe
Then you must realize that soccer is nowhere near taking over football and anyone is says soccer is taking over, just gets sucked into the media hype.

I didn't go.

Had choice of catching up with a mate who I hadn't seen in a while or go to bloody Etihad for a game I didn't think we were a chance of winning.

If it was at the MCG and it was our home game I probably would have gone regardless of the fact that I thought we couldn't win but the Etihad factor was too much for me. Hopefully I never step foot in that ground again.

Lots of negativity regarding Etihad, which I can understand, but does anyone remember VFL Park Waverley. Now that my friends, was the coldest place on earth to watch football in winter time. Not to mention the lack of public transport to get there, and if you did drive, you'd get bogged in the carpark. Bloody softies, with your closed roof, I dunno, grumble, grumble.;)

How void of enjoyment in life do you have to be to question another supporter of the club you barrack for? Get over it, there's more to life than attending every game week in, week out.

Guess it's only second nature for supporters to start pointing fingers when the team is struggling too. More important things in life - you're not being passionate, you're just being an idiot.

Ironically I had a rare opportunity to park at Emptyhead on the weekend and we didn't move for 20 minutes.
Whilst we weren't bogged it sure brought back memories of the Waverley standstill.
That ground and Moronabbin are the coldest places I've seen a game at.

The club and AFL aren't doing enough to make my matchday experience exciting. I need fireworks and dancers and a band playing really loudly and if they would make some more of the ground LED friendly that would probably help.

Also, there were not enough rule changes this year. Hopefully next year they come up with some changes to make the game faster with shorter quarters but also more contests.

Nah, I didn't go because I was walking my two year old around trying to get him to sleep. Watched it on matchday updates on my phone.
