Thanks to the unfortunate injury to GAJ, I can now afford to bring one of these gems in to my side. Who thinks that Chapman is likely to average so highly for the rest of the season?

Same dilemma.

I'm leaning towards Pav as I think he'll be able to sustain the greater average from this point on. Chappy's in sensational form though.

60+ views and one person bothers giving me advice.

Thanks Stengers, still undecided at the moment.

I'm in the same boat.

Currently leaning towards Chappy although he has had injury concerns in the past I feel he's as good as the club said at the beggining of the year and will run out the year fit having his first full preseason in years. Also think he can maintain a higher average than Pav however both offer 100+ averages for the year and yo can't go wrong with either IMO.

An injustice I tells ya!

Pav was just in front before I started this thread, leaning more heavily towards him now.

Sorry to confuse the issue but I would easily choose Chapman.

Pav is playing in one of the worst teams of the year. If he plays midfield he doesn't often get those massive scores. He needs to play forward and kick 5 or 6 for those 150+ scores. With the Freo midfield taking a pounding with injury it likely means that they will use Pav in a midfield role more often this year, he will also get very little support in the midfield from team mates and will likely come under a lot of attention from opposition.

If they do play Pav in the forward line the delivery coming from the half baked midfield will be few and far between. The lack of any other decent forward targets, especially with Tarrant playing down back, at Freo also makes it a lot more difficult for Pav.

Chapman on the other hand is playing a lot more midfield minutes this year. He has had a full pre-season for the first time and never underestimate the importance of that. He plays in the best team and when he does play in the midfield the opposition let him do whatever he wants as they are busy tagging the likes of Ablett, Bartell, Selwood, Corey etc. When he does move in the forward line he always kicks goals. He loves getting the hard ball and kicking it long at every opportunity......great for SC scores.

Hope that helps..........either way you can't go wrong. But for me it's clearly Chapman.

Well, I ended up going with Chapman :D

Hoping he'll find a bit more ball with Gablett out and that the more time Pav spends in the middle, the more his SC scores will be affected.

Both are guns, I am happy to have them both.

Chappy's price is a little high, he is playing to his value, his history suggests he will lose 2 or 3 games at some stage of the season to hamstring problems.

Pav is on the turn and should get better.

Chappy is likely to get you the higher scores at the moment but if I had neither I would probably look to pick up Pav first.
