must be close to 3 now before they can return to training and be at the club again. Oh,,,, Sept 13 so 3 1/2 months. What is it, 4 months to go ??
The club have devised a 6 month plan which he will be given to get him ready for round one 2017. Ken had to put his Christmas toy away for a year but now he gets to unwrap him again

I hope I'm wrong but I think too much is being placed on Ryder's shoulders for next season.
I understand he may be looking fit etc but he hasn't played for a year competitively and we don't know if he's been affected mentally by the ban.
I hope he performs at his best like everyone but I'm yet to be sure he is the "missing piece".
He is not the Messiah....but will be good to have him back.
I doubt anyone believes he is the missing piece but getting him back on top of the other changes required will hopefully get us in the finals.I hope I'm wrong but I think too much is being placed on Ryder's shoulders for next season.

"He looked left, looked right, tapped it straight onto the player's belly and I thought gee how could is this?"Yes and no.
He isn't the Messiah who will bring us the Kingdom of God but he will make a significant and outstanding impact if he returns and plays like he did in 2015, within a couple of games of being back. He isn't going going to be the dominate ruckman from bounce 1 of Rd 1 2017. He will take a few games to get to his best.
The whole way we set up at centre bounces, around the ground stoppages and boundary throw ins in 2017 will change compared to what we sa for the most of 2016. Lobbe had such a poor start to the year we got beaten up in the clearances because we set up for winning rucks and it didn't happen.
Tim Ginever told me that the day before the CAS ruling, he was watching pre season training, and saw Ryder was out jumping against Lobbe and putting the ball to advantage to where he wanted to with ease. Now that wont happen against every ruckman and real games are different to presason training, so it wont go 100% Port's way on his return, but we will look a completely different side in 2017 around the stoppages compared to 2016. And based on what we saw in 2016, I would like to see Jacko play as a mid fielder for SOME not all, centre bounce clearances, ie Rydee rucks, Jacko playing the big bodied bash and crash enforcer role and feeding it to Gray and Boak in the guts or Polec and White coming off the wings.
Ah yes that's what he said at the GDV when I introduced you to Timmy G."He looked left, looked right, tapped it straight onto the player's belly and I thought gee how good is this?"
I have no doubts about Paddy, he's a gun and will be fine but not only that, his tap work to Robbie was amazing and played a part in Robbie getting the coaches award in 2015. Cannot wait to see those 2 team up againI hope I'm wrong but I think too much is being placed on Ryder's shoulders for next season.

If it had of been around the 2001-03 period, it would have been Primus2Francou/James2DewGoalExpecting someone to sign up on bigfooty next year with the name Ryder2Robbie.
Swedish tarts and Krak?See him down at Swedish tarts @ Henley having a coffee with Krak regularly, he's still looking as fit as when he left

he has done a good job of keeping out of the spotlightOfficially, both Monfries and Ryder cannot participate in any sanctioned AFL game until November 13, however both are permitted to return to Port Adelaide two months prior to that date.
ie 2 weeks to go !!!

Yep needs to have the expectations of reviving this slowly sinking ship taken off him and just let him find his way back to performing his role for the side but it will be great to have him back as we only got to see glimpses of his best last year.I hope I'm wrong but I think too much is being placed on Ryder's shoulders for next season.
