I guess because we have turned the corner and things take time and as Kochie said we want to be one of the clubs that is in a position to give. We weren't given all the benefits of being the first AFL club in SA with all the first pickings at sponsorship from the old boys club so, as usual we had to do it the hard way. No silver spoons at Port. Anyway what exactly has that to do with my comments where I am rolling over in mirth at Fagan deciding that now the Crows will concentrate on grass roots. Hardly any grass roots in your AFL women's team either.

Port Adelaide has turned the corner indeed and that's a good thing, but to portray your club as some sort of philanthropic billionaire emerging from the ashes to grace us all with their riches is a joke. The China thing is not a pioneering move. It's been done and failed due to lack of interest and the capital required to make any sort of dent in the market. Port Adelaide does not have the resources to make this work and employing one person is hardly an earth shattering investment into massive scale commerce. Good luck with it and we'll compare notes in 12 months and see where we are at.
