PAFC make AFL history hosting a game of ping pong in China, so why are the Crer customers so upset?

Talk about believing the propoganda your club dishes out.....better improve those figures....will freely admit my maths is not my strong suit but that looks like a HUGE .29% to me - not good for a profit driven industry !!!

.29% of the Chinese market is nearly equal to the average viewing audience in Australia for the whole round of a home and away fixture. You aren't very good at maths are you?

The best thing about .29% is it is a tiny proportion of the whole. It shouldn't be difficult to double that to a miniature .58% and eclipse the viewing audience that an entire round of AFL enjoys across Australia. Do you see where I'm going with this?

No probably not. Adios.

If you read the link you would realise that ratings figures of .29% generate no profit and will not be sustainable. Maths may not be my strong suit, but .29% of anything in anyone's language is **** all.

How many of them are coming this Sat arvo?

I believe you still have GA tickets for sale. I know that you are playing a top exciting team and it's not Sunday twilight that you all like whingeing about.

Please tell me you have more news about this. I'd hate for this to be the "big announcement" we've been waiting for! Surely, this can;t be all there is ?

Facepalm. Do you realise that .29% of a very large number can still be a big number? No you probably don't.

Lets look at your audience figures for example. Here you are, proud to pull a putrid 1.3 million viewers and pas it off as "huge". :$

Adelaide's match against Hawthorn last Friday night pulled one of the biggest television audiences of recent times.
Nearly 1.3 million people tuned into the coverage with that figure 17 percent up on last year's Friday night average.

LOL. Minnows.

If you add our CCTV and Australian viewers for the Geelong game we would have tripled your audience...

I'm sure our sponsors would be more than pleased with the result. How are your sponsors going, have you bridged the gap between club revenues yet?

Face palm - are you serious ? there's a fair chance more of those 1.3mill will go to one of our games than any of the .29% Chinese tv viewers !

How long does anything last that " captures the imagination" of .29% ?
How many adds are going to generate revenue with an audience of .29%?

Economies of scale - you're about as enthralling to the Chinese as Cane a Toad racing is to the Australuan population

Now, how many of this fabulous .29% are coming over to watch you play and buy one of the thousands of tickets still for sale for this Saturday ?

Let me guess -how about NONE !!!!

Good one Paer flogs - hoodwinked again ! Got the game for over there organised yet ?

Again - surely - this can't be all there is?

How much money does PAFC receive from their exposure on a state owned broadcaster in China. Round it up or down, just approximate would be fine.

About the same amount Clinton receives for a televised debate.
You don't run a business do you ol friend?

In fact I do Jevvo, but I don't invest my efforts into pipe dreams. Trying to convert enough interest about the AFL in China to make a difference is akin to trying to convert the population of Australia to Badminton.

Weekly games to be aired in China, including non-PAFC games. You're welcome, AFL. I look forward to seeing even more positive results through this venture into China. This one is pretty good though.

Obviously if the Crows aren't interested, they could probably elect to withdraw from the additional 4 million or so views.

The offended here is more of a butt hemorrhage.

4 000 000 actual new viewers >>>> 600 000 pipe dream fans

Just one massive sponsorship will do it.
China, ignore them at your peril.

Clinton doesn't have to spend the money on the tv station that paid him though - he can keep all that and do what he wants with it

Just listening that CCTV will carry one game a week into China with every 3rd game featuring Poort. Will be interesting to see if anything can come of it and if Kock will pull off a "China Recruit" to get a Chinese national on the list.

I would tell you how much you don't seem to understand the situation, but many seem to have tried already.

Instead I will just call you a cretin and move on because you aren't worth the time.

Lions, sheep etc.

Already sorta happened. Recruited a fella from China to play in the Port Adelaide academy team. He is part of a documentary that also airs in China (each week?). Unfortunately did his ACL as soon as he arrived to the club...

So how much cash from this has made its way into the PAFC overflowing coffers

I also could call you a gullible flog but I'll just move on because your ignorance and" lemmingness "is on display here for all to see
