Ok he is still out of contract and if he happens to go into the pre-season draft do you think tigers would take him? I would hate to see this kid go as he is starting to shine

I'd get him. Get him to put on at least 5kg of muscle and he will be a very decent player

I'm sure Richmond is interested, but it might come down to who else is available, and how much money he wants.
I'd be happy to have him, although I wouldn't expect him to be a star. More of a handy third marking option type - definately something Richmond don't seem to have at the moment.

Someone asked about getting P Bowden in the PSD this morning on Sport 927 (yes, we get Melbourne Radio in Canberra). Anthony Mithen said Bowden was a chance along with a few others including Clint Bizzell. Mithen said there was 'still plkenty of water to go under the bridge with Bizzell'.
Does anyone know any more about us maybe getting Bizzell in the PSD? Please tell...

With our finances the way they are we cannot afford players in the PSD who put a high price tag on themselves . I dare say that if Bizzell is in dispute with Melbourne over money then he would be out of our league .

Presuming Deledio goes number 1, and with a fit and fired Coughlan, our midfield will finally start to look ok.
IMO, Bowden will be the number 1 pick in the PSD. He's got height, and can help out our lack lustre defence, or can be put forward.
I wouldn't take Bizzell with our 6th round pick.
Number 1 - too old
Number 2 - another Otto. Searchin for the big $$$$

Yes, we do need another Salopek type player. We have lots of midfielders sure, but how many are quality? This kid has shown signs of being a very good player, look back to how well he played against us in round 9 this year.
However, he is apparently not out of contract so we can forget it, word is he signed a 3 year deal when drafted as they are entitled to do.

Go for Salopek over Bowden anyday. Salopek will be a gun. He is just been starved in Port Adelaide. Money might be an issue tho, Salopek could be worth a fair bit more.
Contract is the main issue apparently, Porthos says he signed a 3 year deal when drafted, not the standard 2 year deal, hence he is a contracted player and won't be in the PSD, much to my disappointment.

Just heard Cain Ackland was delisted, I believe this guy could be a very handy player if we can get his head right. Maybe with his delisting he will realise that AFL football is serious and he will want to be a part of it as long as he can! We need a ruckman, and with the uncertainty of us picking a descent one up in the national draft he could be the man we need. I believe Terry should talk to him see where he is at and if he seems keen and committed we should take him. anyone else have any thoughts?
i would maybe take him (ackland) with a late pick in the national draft. i wouldnt waste pick one in the psd on him. but he could be a good pick up as he is older than any ruck we would draft and would actually be able to step up to senior footy pretty soon. could be just what we need.
Ackland would be good as a back up, provided we also draft a young ruckman earlyish
That gives us a reasonable ruck unit

I favor having dominant midfields.
