is 26 and out of contract for Freo.his manager has indicated that he would leave for the right price, whether he is just trying to bump his price up remains to be seen.Seems like a good fit for us as in and under midfielder.

Definalty worth a look IMO and we know that freo always like to trade

thoughts?

He's injured a helluva lot... would depend on the asking price, I wouldn't be putting up much for him at 26 years of age.

I would be interested at the right price. The fact of being traded might jolt him. He needs to get fitter. He isn’t quick though so we would have to look at the composition of our midfield. We’d have to look at O’Bree and Lockyer.

Might add a little, but is probably no better than O Bree when it is all said and done. They gain what precisely? Not saying not worth a look at, but would have to be part of a real strategy to revamp the midfield, and yes would need to get fittter fast! BTW what will he cost us draft/trade wise? Not much I hope, especially draft wise.

Yeah is still young a second round draft pick maybe third and a fring player would do it.

Have always rated him but does seem to very injury prone OP wasnt it?

Nup. With due respect to Paul I want Collingwood to continue on building and making our own where possible. I'm sick of fillers on the off chance they might be able to regain some form.

The mount of promising rookies we have played this year, getting Martin Clarke and the young NSW kids we have tee'd up are IMO on the right track. Fingers crossed we build some future true dominant rucks.

This from the AFL 2007 prspectus "He was an elite ball winner in 2003/4 averaging more than 24 disposals and ranking highly in contested possessions, score assists, clearances and inside 50's, but his career has stalled since". After a down couple of years with a poor 2006 mainly due to op, his numbers this year have approached his 2004 output. Works well in a phone booth and we could certainly use him but the club is determined to grow our own which has my full support.

Defintly have a look at him freo have enough ball winners maybe Shammer aswell aslong as it doesnt cost as much trade wise

Schammer just signed a deal not long ago, not going anywhere. Hasleby is Freo through and through, he is a 1 in 1000 chance of leaving. Not even worth discussing.

Who knows anything could happen who ever thought aker would play for the bulldogs or everitt for the swans tarrant for freo anything is possible all all about the right deal and what direction the club is going to

Paul is our best stoppage player in an area we severly struggle, we have persisted with him through all of his injury problems. He is best mates with Pav, all of his family are in WA.

Honestly mate i wouldnt worry about him, he is the elast of my worries. Everytime he has come out of cotnract his manager has said the same thing but everytime it has resulted with him staying put.

Well his manager felt like discussing it in the paper and if he received a Godfather type offer from another club and Freo tried to lowball him they would seriously look at moving, his words not mine. It may just be posturing on their part but your own comments show a lack of understanding of the player agent club relationship. This year they have leverage and it could be Paul's last big contract and he's been preforming well so, cha ching!!!

yea i doubt he would leave also most high profile players dont leave and with bell finishing up and carr getting older you probley need him alot in the future what about big sandilands i rekon freo would be preety dissapointed in his performance this year whats your opionon is he a required player or would u trade him at the right deal????

Sandi has had a relatively dissapoting season compared to what we would have hoped yes. BUT he has been struggling with OP or a Hernia not surer which one for the majority of the season. He signed a new deal at the beginning of the year so is a Docker for atleast another 3 years. When he gets fit enxt year i believe he will come on again. Him getting hurt has been a blessing in disguise as we have seen Warnock develop a lot the apst month or so.

He's certainly a player that's worth having a look at. When healthy he is a lot better than O'Bree. But I don't think he's anyone we should be giving a "Godfather offer" to.

There's absolutely no chance Sandilands gets moved - he was close to best player in the AFL second half of last season, greatly responsible for having Freo so overrated coming into this season.

Haselby would fit into our line up right now and would have been good for us this season. The thing is we don't want/need a quick fix which is all Hasleby will be cost too much get a couple season out of him then the games pace will get to much for him. Stick with the youth we have and if we need to add from outside which we do for a ruck and maybe an inside mid then find someone a bit younger
