No, I'm not calling for Rats' head, but I just would like to know everyone's opinion of Roos as a special comments/analyst on Fox Sports?

I love listening to the guy, the way he analyses the game is awesome, and you can tell he has a passion talking about tactics etc

I think he's pretty upbeat about the way we are going atm, although he does believe we wouldn't have won if not for the 2 inuries to the Bombers on Sat

IF, and only IF this year doesn't end well for Rats, I would love to have this guy at the helm, his footy knowledge is second to none

Does anybody else really enjoy listening to what he has to say? I think he's been great for On the Couch.....I just want ppl to understand that this thread isn't aimed at degrading Rats and asking for his sacking!

I thought he was the opposite to upbeat about us. He said it was concerning that we couldn't win that game after what happened and mentioned it's the same old problems for Carlton. Also said we're kicking backards more than 50% more than the next side. It sounded to me like he had concerns about us.

Roos is an itinerant Carlton hater from way back. Any chance he gets he puts the boots into us.

He would not come and coach us unless we offered him a shitload of money... and if he took it, would give 2 ****s about the club.

If we are going to replace Ratten at the end of the year, then I saw we through the huge amounts of money we are going to offer Roos and give them to someone who is actually professional about coaching and doesnt hold any bias against any team and thats Mick Malthouse.

He is 57 years old (58 in August) and will give us at least 2-3 seasons before he needs to start thinking about retiring.

Then forget his wife. I'm sure Jeanne Pratt in appropriate lingerie would be enough to entice any red-blooded man south of the border.

Think that's offensive in more ways than I had planned.

can someone tell me where the evidence on Roos being a Carlton hater ? Making some critical comments on the gameplan doesn't make him a hater, not like Dwayne Russell, Garry Lyon, Caro, Greg Denham and the bitter Fatprick Smith

Comments wise he has clearly sniped us repeatedly over the journey. Bagged our recruitment, our culture, our efforts. All fair enough I suppose but doesn't mean we have to like it. Some football pundits are upbeat on us others aren't. He hasn't missed a chance in the past to give us a clip.

Never, have I wanted to gauge my eyes out more than I do now.

Thanks Thy.

Why is Roos a Carlton hater, bc he says the truth about us? He is a magnificent coach proven full stop. What he siad is true , if Essendon did not go down two men we would have lost easily, simple.

Many of you think we are a top four side, i dont i think we a bit away . To not beat a side with two men down in the first quarter is not good enough! At yet Ratten said he was happy with our efforts!

We should have been attacking in the last five minutes instead of this bullshit backpeddling which we are not good at. Be proactive and win, not reactive. I for one was not impressed with us especially the mistakes in the last 3 minutes.

This was playing a side that finished in the bottom half of the ladder last year. They have improved out of site, in one year so far. We have improved but i still think our tactical nouse borders on childish sometimes!

If for any reason Ratts is replaced then I would prefer them to look firstly at Gavin Brown.Think he would be a better fit for where we are at than Roos.

I was more unimpressed with the first five minutes than the last. At least we were having a go in the last quarter. We failed to ice this game because we didn't come to play. Shit that happened in the last five minutes doesn't come into it.

My favourite random mistake - Gibbs' panicked miss from 20m out with little pressure.

I tend to agree. I think the thought that throwing money at a high profile coach will translate to success may be naive and flawed.

THS is right about having some processes in place

Any chance of Rodney Eade coaching us? Watching Footy Classified last night he looks keen to coach after this year but his job at the Dogs looks like it's coming to a close unless he can make a GF.

I actually think the coaching has improved out of sight this year. Brown and Richo in the box and Ratts on the boundary seems to work.

Can't blame coaches if players fail to follow instructions, which I suspect was responsible for a lot of the bombing long to the goal square on Saturday.
