I might hand over the betting duties to my wife this weekend given she was smart enough to put $5 last weekend on JR8 to kick the first goal, at 9-1 that netted us a handy $45! :)

Betting against us at the Gabba is always very risky.

Other than being pantsed by Geelong there this year, we have only lost one other game- to Freo by 12 (despite having our entire back 6 out- at least this week we've got Merrett and Patfull...).

We've managed to beat Carlton, Collingwood, Bulldogs, and West Coast up there already, with the Collingwood win being smack bang in the middle of our shocking form.

While our back 6 is pretty decimated at the moment, Merrett (along with Brennan in the middle) should be improving as he regains the fitness he lost over his 7 week break.

Fev in his 200th should be interesting.

Not to mention this game literally makes of breaks our season- there is no coming back, should we lose this weekend, and I think the players will know that.

All that said, we were abysmal last weekend, and the Tigers were pretty good, but the Lions at home is a very different prospect to the Eagles at the G!

I love Daniel Merrett, probably my fave non-Tigers player... just putting it out there.

Should be a good game. One of my favourites ever was in 08 when we played the Lions at the G in a thriller. Great atmosphere and one of the loudest crowds I can remember.:thumbsu:

I'll back us if it's going to rain. Having Shane Tuck in the rain is like having Chris Judd in the dry.

We are starting to look better, especially in setting up our defensive zone. I don't think we're up to beating Brisbane up there just yet. Rome wasn't built in a day and all that.

Really.. as Grant Thomas said on Footy Classified.. we go to Riewoldt something like 70% of the time going forward. You shouldn't win too many games being so one-dimensional. Because of this - I'd be just as happy to see Griffo show a few signs than he can make it.

Take it from a reformed Tiger punter who has already paid off his mortgage ..bet with your brain not your heart, I hope they win but the Tigers are not a sure thing. Riewoldt after the hype of last Sunday is just as likely to score a donut and Fev on his 200th will probably score a bag of goals. One thing is for sure I will be there cheering our guys on.:thumbsu:

Like you I always tip with my head....and i've won a fair bit of cash doing so. Last week was the first time I've tipped the Tiges all year. Seriously thinking about tipping them this week too, against a depleted Lions outfit.

So who thinks we are a good chance to win this weekend? Anyone putting some serious cash on em?

I'm opening an account with centrebet and you get $100 first free bet (if you deposit $100).

I was planning on opening a bit of a knockabout account anyway so worked out well (considering I reckon the Tigers are a great chance considering even Fevola is playing injured for Brisbane).

I put $200 on your mob by over 39.5 at $10 with the TAB. You guys will smash Brisbane.

I put $50 on us to win by under 39.5. $175 return.

First time in Brisbane, wandering around town looking for TAB. No dice. Goes to Victory/Exchange, gets loose, swindles a bird, get frisky, go back to her place (with her friend aswell) said girl passes out in cab on way home, damn morals kick in, go home wake up 90 mins later to get my flight home, no TAB ticket FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Night started off brilliantly, didn't end as well as I'd have hoped.

I LOL'D. :D:thumbsu:

I had $100 @ $2.90 for the win, and $10 @ $7 for Jack to kick the first goal,

$360 thank you very much!

$300 head to head at $3.00.
I never bet on Richmond but them were just crazy odds!!

Stiff if you backed em over 39.5..... should have won by that much.
