It was only 2014 they were runner up, plus WC only had like 10 or 11 players in that side.

Really the situation everyone is whinging about (See WP presidents doubtlessly drunken rant) isn't going to come up that often: playing not just many but experienced AFL players. It's only going to happen when A) WC or us is rebuilding (senior players demoted to 2's) B) Not all that many injuries (We have suffered mostly from who was, rather than total amount of, injured across the season. Back 1/3 of the year we haven't been all that far off full strength).

Seems like fitness is the priority this pre season. Definitely a good sign as compared to last year. Walters has been impressive in how he has improved each season in terms attitude and training since 2012.

I think the whole support team from the coaches down will have had the blowtorch applied after this season - I expect us to bounce significantly next year, more than most people will tip

I remember talking to Tim about our list last year, and we thought that we were better placed to achieve in the 2017-2019 bracket than what we could have done with the team we had at the time. A mix of a good bunch of kids, and potentially WA players looking to return home

They must be sure of who we're bringing into our forward line and confident of Bennell being fit.
