Peel Thunder - 2016

John Duckworth was a West Perth player, .................................... those were the days when men were men and you only had to deal with one ump.

Duckworth is from Lake Grace too, isn't he? Forgot about him. Shunts the Morton brothers down another peg in the best Lake Grace player ever stakes.
Fyfe, Daylight, Bairstow, Duckworth, Mitch Morton, Cale Morton, Jarryd Morton.

Called past Freo oval this morning and Son Son was running laps and not gently either. Full bore. He said he had a plan mapped out for him and was following that plan. Looks like a full on plan to rock up to pre season in tip top condition. Its already looking like a different approach for the next season.:thumbsu:

At the end of the day fyfe was building bridges for Phillipinos a few days before pre season started...its safe to say he and everyone else will be more prepared next season.

I thought he was from Kondinin but can't swear to it.

Bairstow probably has a few more runs on the board than young Nathan despite Nat's Charlie. No doubt Nat has him covered for talent but you have to give some respect to Bairstows record:
Games 196 (South Fremantle 40, Geelong 146 WA 10)

Goals 219 (South Fremantle 32 Geelong 172 Western Australia 15)

Honours: Sandover Medal 1986, South Fremantle Fairest and Best 1986, Four time All Australian team selection (1987, 1989, 1991, 1992), Three AFL Grand Finals (1989, 1992, 1994)

South Fremantle Captain 1986 Geelong Captain 1992, 1993 and 1994

Born in Lake Grace apparently, but that might not be enough. Played at Dudinin, which is pretty much a siding.

There were heaps of Duckworths in the region in the nineties. ydraw might know better.
Kondinin is about an hour north of LG and Dudinin is on the Fence Road north east of LG. Dudinin used to have a general store a few years back but there is only a few houses and CBH bin there. And yes your right, heaps of Duckworths in the area.

Still lots of Duckworths there, I went to school with 4 of them.

Not sure where John and Billy Duckworth are from, but Lake Grace is the biggest town in the area by a fair way so it's a good bet.

Too right he has . He has improved in all areas and the coaches are of the belief that he can take his game to a another level.

Doesn't really seem to have a rapport with the playing group, just goes about his thing. Hard as a cats head at the ball when he wants to be though!

Josh has a good relationship with not only the Fremantle boys but also with the Peel boys as well .
He isn't loud and trying to be noticed ,just a quiet had working guy that goes about his prep before the game .Always a smile on his dial and a hello to those that he knows .

Yeah have seen him out with blakely Langdon etc. that whole group, could be a serious foundation for us.
Weller, Blakely, Langdon and Deluca were all drafted at the same time, yeah? Wouldn't surprise me if they were all tight knit.

Yeah they were
Blakely, Langdon and Weller all live together since they all needed to move either to perth or closer to Freo. (Blakely originally from bunbury i think?)
I'm guessing that Deluca lives closer to Freo for training so wouldn't have needed to move house, I am mostly assuming this but it certainly paints a better picture then Deluca being the outcast:p (Which going by some of the Fyfe talk on here, people would definitely jump to outcast conclusions)
