Peel Thunder - 2016

Correct. I can't see how any AFL club would be interested in him. Can find the ball at WAFL level but not enough at AFL level, not overly clever and couldn't kick over a jam tin. Mengelola for all his faults, can at least kick over distance.
Have you seen de Boer play in the second half of this year? Ive seen him hit targets regularly, break tackles and be super offensive. His kicking is gigantically improved in terms of penetration too. When given permission to play an attacking role at Peel he has looked a different player.

What time is bouncedown on Sunday? Hoping for 3.15
I would assume between 2.10 and 3.10 as that is when most of the games have been scheduled, the GF is at 2.30 the next week so that may be a safe bet?

Tv guide has the game being broadcast 2.30 - 5.30 but I don't think anything is confirmed yet so could be subject to change

There was a group of rowdy Peel fans sitting in the Tom James stand who ruined the game for me today. All they did was abuse the umpires and any West Perth player who turned the ball over.

Does anyone know who tagged Nelson. They mentioned he was tagged out of the game on the radio but they didn't say who. He's usually between 29 and 42 possessions in all games this year but today he only got 10.

Even the sight impaired boundary ump who failed to notice an out of the bounds on the full acknowledged the help those fans were giving the umps by politely waving to them . PS Harry you are one hell of a bad influence.;)

Surely bell would be worth a look at by clubs?
To be fair de Boer's form at WAFL level has been outstanding. I hadn't watched Peel live much this year, but I think most who are highly critical of him have watched him very rarely at all. His kicking efficiency and effectiveness with his kicking has definitely been outstanding in the two finals, as was his game against the Western Bulldogs. Today he looked a class above and he did something I haven't seen him do in his career in that he was able to burst from the centre and be super damaging with the ball in hand. I think he might of actually become a far more attacking and creative player without being noticed by most observes. In my view he has actually always been better than advertised at winning the football in contested situations, but this has not been noticed as he always sacrificed his attacking game for the good of the team. I think in a similar way to Menegola if an afl team played him in an attacking role he would be far more effective than most here seem to think.
Spot on. I thought his game against Hawks final last year was his best game of his career and similar to his WB game recently. He's not there to boot 50m passes or cut teams up with 30 plus possies. But I could easily see him playing a role similar to menegola is playing now sitting right on a bloke in stoppages then using his tank to drift forward hard. You can't fault his two way running ability. Would be a waste to drop him. We actually do need some depth.

I see West Perth president Brett Raponi has taken to social media to complain that his side was beaten by an WAFL team fielding 17 current AFL players. That's funny, they were belted by South Fremantle last week too and he didn't complain then.

I bet you he didn't complain about the free kick count yesterday, talk about crowd influenced decisions. No wonder the Peel fans sitting around us Salim were so vocal. ;)

With any luck Wilkinson will umpire next week.

I really hope South Fremantle plays Tim
English in the WAFL final versus Peel. West Perth dropped their ruckman and it blew up in their face. East Perth played Paul Johnson versus both and he blew up with the workload. It would be an amazing opportunity to see a potential draftee play against the incumbents.

South will play Brock Higgins with Zach Strom for support if both available. Doubt English will play

As much as I'd love to see how he goes, I agree it's doubtful. He was only OK in the ressies on the weekend and he's had a big workload this year off a light preseason with an under developed body. He'll be depth for the league side but his focus would now be on being in shape for the draft camp.
