I'm tipping that this week against the roos he will play very very well!
maybe 4 goals 10 marks 18 disposals.

next week some of our BF members will be eating their words!

Or maybe he will sit on the bench the whole game

Will that be BF members or the AFC selection panel eating their words if Perrie fires?

The majority of posters have been calling for his selection for the past few weeks, especially against Brisbane.

I just hope he's played at CHF, given a full game, and an opportunity to do well.

I hope your forecast of his game is correct.

Your kidding even if Perrie does fire this week what about the following rounds .The guy hasnt got what it takes to be dominant at SANFL level , how can he be expected to lead our forward attack. They will put him up for trade at years end and get no bites.

Perrie this year has been crucified at the selection table, his performance last year though not brilliant were very solid especially when he was the focal point of the attack. This year when we are crying out for someone, he can't even get a game. When he does, they play him at CHB and move Kenny forward. Which I rated as a lose/lose situation as Kenny wouldn't have given a great deal more at CHF but we certainly lost at CHB.

I believe we should give the kids a go but not at the expense of totallt wrecking there confidence. Playing these kids in key positions against the best defenders is not ideal they should be against the 2nd or 3rd string defender. This is were Perrie should have been playing alot earlier especially after Carey retired.

I believe he still has something to offer this footy club. I wouldn't trade him unless your going to get someone who can do the job that he should have had the opportunity to do.

IMO hentshell is still better suited to the backline, and Bock is not up to a key position player, S Stevens waste of space. Kenny champion CHB Fergus is still years away. so what other options do we have. This is of course ruling out M Stevens

Hope you are right about his performance, has a fair bit of ability, althought can look like a right goose at times as well.

Perrie's best is very good but is ordinary is just that.

There doesnt seem to be anything consistant in between. He will play a great game and then the next week he is a totally different player.

He has been lucky to stay on the list, if he was in any other posistion he would of been long gone.

Good luck to him I hope he takes his opportunity tonight, but more importantly back it up for the rest of the season.

Tonight just proves Perrie has to be the main tall target at CHF. He just can't work well in tandom with another tall. Couldn't do it with Carey and he looked a completly different player once Stevens was benched.

He started off in ordinary fashion, but got better and better as the game went on. Not quite to the above level, but gave us something at CHF we have been lacking.

IMO he certainly stuck it up the selectors who just wouldn't pick him even when we had no forwards.

agree, interestingly he has been named in the best players on afl.com
just looked to be 1/2 a step off a bit of the time and spent far to much time on the deck.
but a solid effort all the same.

We should persist with Sarge at CHF as he provides us a strong target & allows us to play the lesser developed Bock or Watts in a pocket. S Stevens can buggar off though.

Iam prepared to go out on a limb and say there are still some good signs I saw on Friday night with Stevens that is worth some perserverance.

I'll get shot down, but there's something there worth another year.

I am getting worried now. I am agreeing with you:p

It would be a boring board if we all agreed. As long as there is a logical point of view.;)

I agree.

I think with a bit of muscle Scott Stevens would be a good player

Plus's: - smart footy player, holds his feet, has taken some reasonably kleen grabs over last couple of weeks.

Minuses: slow, doesn't get to enough contests, doesn't take enough contested marks.

The ledgers pretty even, it could go either way.

don't forget, he drops out of the game in a huge way

If only they could make the goals the entire width of footy park he would be a 50-50 chace of scoring

Please explain this insistence with support for Perrie at CHF? He did nothing against the Roos - again!

Sure, the guy tries his guts out but the fact is that he's just not good enough.

As for him providing a target... hell, Hudson, Scott Stevens, Bock, Watts, Biglands... just about any tall player could provide a target, if all you're looking at is for somebody to bring the ball to ground.

What we need is a player who can take a friggin' mark at CHF. Perrie can't do that - or at least he can't do it on a regular basis... unless he is on the lead and ends up taking the mark so far down field that he ends up in our defensive side of the ground. Plus, when's the last time you saw him outmuscle anyone? He may be a big guy but he's not strong, has arms the size of pipe cleaners and will not do anything for us at CHF. Band-aid at best.

I would rather have Fergus Watts in there learning as he goes than Perrie.

On another note... once again, Skipworth has a good game. C'mon people, where's the "Get on the Skipworth Train" thread? :)

I'd rather have Perrie there, fluking a few things and maybe driving his trade value up a couple of notches.

I thought Perrie was very good in the second half. I'm not his biggest fan but at the end of the day it's a matter of play him, or dump him. Ayres wouldn't do either so was very glad to see Craig give him a go.

Personally I would like to see him stay with the Crows as I don't think we'd get much for him as a trade. He's the type of player who under the right coach could become a valuable player (again).

Go the Dispenser!

I agree. Stick him at CHF and leave him there, then judge him at the end of next season. He hasn't had a decent run so far. (And since Darren Jarman has taught him to kick, I think he deserves more of a go!)

If we're not going to use him, then trade him - he deserves a go. He may not be worth a first round draft pick, but a change of clubs might do him good.

I'm not sure Skipworth justifies a whole train. ;) :D

But he was good against the Kangaroos, and overall his form justifies him staying on the list.

I'm definitely getting on the Skipworth Scooter!! :p
