I read that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are the only two English teams licensed. Does this mean the rest aren't in the game, or that they're called different names, like 'Mercyside Red' for Liverpool and 'London' for Chelsea?

Yep, that is right. Easily fixed manually though, or if you want to go the whole hog then you can install an option file to update crests, jerseys and all that jazz in one hit.

Hmmm, never installed option files before. Could somebody explain how it's annyoing please.
It's pretty ****ing fiddly, and it can be hard finding a really good one and getting it to work. So many times I've spent hours doing it, and then loading the game up and having the 'could not load edit files' thing pop up.

But the feeling when it works, and you scroll through the beautiful kits and emblems...... man is it worth it.

So i woke up this morning and magically obtained a copy on my comp today. I felt that last year's version on pc was a bit clunky in terms of gameplay (compared to the ps3, not sure if it's just me) but I've played a few games and it feels identical to the ps3 version however, it looks better and the loading times are almost non existent.

Given that I've just pre-ordered a copy from shopto for the pc version rather than the ps3 version because it is cheaper (36 AUD compared to 56-60 for ps3 version) and the ease of modding option files/patches on pc.

I used cheat engine to give me a whole bunch of GP and unlocked the owner mode. Had about a half hour play time on it and to be honest it feels quite hollow, you can't really do much in terms of managing. You merely provide funds and sign chosen players. There's not much control over actual strategy and starting lineups.

I had a quick muck around with the challenge training mode and I think it is a good mode to hone your skills. You use your created avatar to participate and i'm assuming you're on max stats.

On a side note, my version of the game is in english but the commentary is in french and it is quite refreshing/ hilarious at times, only time will tell if this novelty wears off

I bought a copy of PES 2012 on PS3 yesterday from Dungeon Crawl on Elizabeth St for anyone interested. $74 so reasonably priced too.

I have very strong feeling that this will be better than Fifa 12. I don't mind Fifa 12, but the AI is way too skillful. I can understand intelligence with ball movement and passing, but when you got the likes of Carragher dribbling past people and launching 50 yard through balls its a bit odd. Dribbling is nowhere near as awesome as it is in Pro Evo as well.

Can't wait to get Pro Evo, I seriously think I'll be playing it a lot more than Fifa.

Won't be getting this until OF's are released. Is it the UK version that you pretty much need for the OF's?
