I thought this thread was about Peter Bedford.

I like the idea of honouring the old timers while they're still here. There's still plenty of time for guys from Kelly and Kirks era to present the cupsWould have be nice if Paul Kelly or someone from his era was given the opportunity given his input during the Sydney era.

I was in the squad then. We made the banners and run throughs every Friday night.I had Peter Bedford's number on my back whilst I was in the Swannies cheer squad in 1970 when he won the Brownlow. What a year it was . First final since 1945 and the only final Bobby Skilton got to play in.
Great to see the old legends continue to be honoured in this way.
Considering we are playing the dogs, I thought Barry Round could have been a good choice.
I have a suspicion that Paul Kelly presented the 2005 cup.
Shame Bobby Skilton won't be able to attend as well due to recent surgery he had done on his back. Two greats of the Swans, Bedford and Skilton.
Our boys will have to take the cup to Bobby's hospital bed on Saturday nightShame Bobby Skilton won't be able to attend as well due to recent surgery he had done on his back. Two greats of the Swans, Bedford and Skilton.

Go and have a look at the website of Caulfield-Glen Eira Leader newspaper there's a story on there about Peter and his biggest fan.I wasn't even born when Bedford won his Brownlow. But as I learned about the history of our great club, he was front and centre.
So pleased with this choice.
Couldn't find it bedford, do you know who the author was? That might help...Go and have a look at the website of Caulfield-Glen Eira Leader newspaper there's a story on there about Peter and his biggest fan.
