My mother had a kitty like that, the tortoise-shell, and it was her most favourite cat ever. And my momma, she had a lot of cats... mostly due to that cat, who was a bit of a kitten machine for a while.
That cat's been gone about ten years now, but hardly a day goes by where either myself nor Momma doesn't think about that poor old puss (who we affectionately called "Blubberbutt").
Got an e-mail from Momma recently where she said, "The cat on my cat-a-day calendar looks exactly like Blubberbutt. I don't wanna turn the page." Poor baby, and poor Momma.
